I had to get out my moms scrap book to look at my photos from 66 -74
The photos bring back some fun memorys, I ran Mac 91,101’s and Parilla’s
The parts were a bit crude than what has just come off my current chassis.

I have not read the CSC rules (shame on me)

Is a method in place to protest or appeal an official?s decision?

I have spocken to a number of folks out west and on the east coast that have said it has been a good package for them.
I know that one or two run down at CRE.

    Doug,

I would think that the racers in around here should be pleased that your boy?s are running the TAG class. Having a higher level of competition only improves the entire field.

I don?t consider TAG a novice class but it is an easy place for a new comer to start. I also had a TAG kart for a while and think the racing is fantastic. I am of the opinion that drivers coming out of direct drive or direct drive like karts are generally smoother and very fast as they move in to a shifter or on to cars.

Remember the karting world championship is in direct drive karts.

Same boat as Jim, I have had my ICC for 3 years.
I don’t get to race much due to my work schedule but I have a lot of test and tune days.

Would it make sense instead of adding a class if there is enough interest to make the 125 Novice a stock engine class, spec pipe, OE ingnition and spec tires.

    Just a thought.

Again If you have the interest, make it simple. Please don’t just add another class.

Had fun at CRE Sunday ( Except for the extreamly high winds)
good field of Jr’s and Rotax’s, just a handful of shiters (5 I think) but we had some great racing.

The rule I have seen for WKA and Stars is the transponder must be 12″ behind the centerline of the front axle.

All I am suggesting is it is easier on the racer with a spec tire, what ever brand you choose. As an old heavy guy I like the harder tires they are easier on me.

Guys I have little stake in this, right it looks like I will do one CSC race but if the tires are open I am sure one brand will be the hot ticket for that day at that track, which means if I would like to be competitive I should test what meets the rules. Being a casual racer but still wanting to be in the hunt, for me it may be the differance of racing that one event or not.

Again I am guy that runs 6-8 events a season, I don’t run for a championship or series points I pick and choose the race and track as my schedule permits.

In my opinion a spec tire is the way to go, I don’t have to tire test to find what works where. As a hobby racer I want it to be simple and have found the YHC to be a great tire for a 400# kart.

I have the K&N filter that works on the CIK air box and it works great. Noise is becoming a bigger and bigger issue way not be proactive?
