ParticipantI have the K&N filter that works on the CIK air box and it works great. Noise is becoming a bigger and bigger issue way not be proactive?

ParticipantYep I agree, them Proactive noise issue people are becomeing bigger and bigger.
I like to be proactive when ever possible, like in racing, and make as much noise as I can. It’s hard to beat the noise fun factor that them jets in Grand Junction or the drags at banimere with just a kart. Maybe if them 2 strokes would run with out a silencer we could get some people to stop and see what all the noise is about? 😆February 14, 2004 at 11:17 pm #46014Anonymous

It’s comments like these that get everyone in karting a bad name, you are not doing yourself or karting any favors with posts like this!!! I understand your frustration but racing anywhere unoticed is far better than not racing at all!!

Inactive😀 Jeez Rod, I’ll bet you didn’t think you’d get someone’s dander up with that comment did ya? Well we live in a different world than the one in which we both grew up. So, we’re gonna take away your aminal and give you a ‘lectric motor for being so politically incorrect! 😈

ParticipantJon, get a spine. The pro active people are frustrated, not me.
I suppose then John Force is a bad/ loud advocate for the world of drag racing. Ssshhh, lets be quite, there is a race going on, somebody might hear us. This ant golf or bowling. LOL
The more you bow to the demands of a few frustrated proactive problem finders the more they will demand.
A loud fast racing motor at a race track will draw more participants than complainers. The only reason a few complainers can ruin it for all the participants is because they become louder and heard more from than the participants or the racers.February 15, 2004 at 2:58 pm #46017Anonymous
InactiveIf you knew you would know that my spine is in good shape and quite active!!!
I I was try to say is that there are better ways of making a bull come to you than waving a red flag at it!!!

InactiveJon:
I’m curious. What class / motor package are you running in the CSC?

ParticipantIn a bull fight, they use the red flag to draw the beast in for the kill.

InactiveWayne,
my son Scott will be running the CSC 125 pro class this year, Everything seems to have collapsed here in the SKUSA Canyon region so we have decided to run the CSC instead. We will be running a moto engine.
Check out the latest SKUSA rules in mixed ICC/Moto classes moto weighs in at 375lbs and ICC at 385lbs 2 hole airbox for ICC and 3 hole for Moto.

ParticipantAirboxes are required only per individual track regulations. They will be required at Grand Junction Motor Speedway, due to the sound issue and SKUSA. They will not be required at IMI or Action Karting. I am pretty sure they won’t be required at Steamboat.

OK, so the CSC rules are posted that’s great!
I still have a question concerning airboxes at GJ. If GJ is running to SKUSA rules does this mean 3 holes for moto and 2 for ICC also at the GJ CSC races do the moto’s get to run at 375lbs???

ParticipantJon,
You will have to talk to Stacey on that one… I think he answered the airbox question here…

but that may have been before the recent SKUSA changes.Angie
