    Rod,

Both WKA and IKF allow for local option. One of the problems as I see it is that Colorado has (in the 7 years I have been here) always done its on thing. Coming from racing in the west and mid west with IKF and WKA rules, classes and event operations where well established and easy to understand (at least for me).

I like sanctioned programs, I know what is expected of the officals and of myself as an competitor.

The other problem I have is just using someones rules and not be willing to pay for them. I work for SCCA Pro Racing we spend over 4 months and over 50K to put our Pro rule book out each year plus printing which is another 4K. WKA, SKUSA, IKF spend thousands of hours and dollars to put there books together and keep them updated, the least we could do is support there efforts.

    Just my opinion

Were is the class and racers to run in it? If there was/is ICA I would change over one of my karts and test some young drivers.
I put Collin in my ICC kart for the CRE Stars race.

I would put a hot shoe in one of my karts if we had a well supported ICA program. I am too old and fat to drive one myself. Had a chance to drive a Maxer powered ICA kart at the beinging of the year, what a blast.

I have both a 125 shifter and a TAG kart, both are great fun but I too feel the TAG kart is a better place to start if your new to karting.
    a) the TAG is about half the cost to maintain
    b) I feel the TAG kart is a better tool to learn the art of chassis tuning
    c) lap time wise a TAG is not much slower than a shfter
As in any motorsport, the faster you want to go is directly related to the money you are willing to spend.

    Leopard racers FYI:
Ran at CRE last weekend the gear I endded up with was 7.7 to 1 on tires with 3 races and a test day. 7.5 or 7.6 would be where I think I would have been with fresh tires.
Fun track with a tag package, have fun I wish I could be there.
I didn’t have much for the fast Rotax guys but I think they where running at 355# Another thing I found is that the Tillet seat that works fine at Action and IMI didn’t cut it at CRE, on the 2 high speed left handers I was falling out of my seat. smaller guys may not have the same problem.

    Marc,

I will be attending the race at CRE on the 5th. sorry to say that I will be traveling from the 10th-Nov 7th so that will be the last of the few events that I have been able to do this year.
