I don’t know if you’ve seen this online mag yet but it’s tops. Peter Windsor in F1 and the MotoGP and WRC coverage are great too. Just wanted to share it with other motorheads that like things other than NAKKER…
Thanks for the MotoPorn link, Mike. Good stuff. I subscribed.

This could be a very big problem for me as it is only 4 miles from my office.
I had no idea this facility was being developed.Cool
Dangerously close to my house as well…near Shockwave, too. I like the edginess of racing in a parking garage. Their website is only a mailing list signup, no contact phone numbers. I was going to call them and force them to advertise with Angie through use of my strong arm style of persuasion and the HUGE numbers of Colorado karters as leverage.

ParticipantCris, nice writeup! I kinda know how you feel when you spoke about finally getting out on track with your son. I felt the same way when Haydyn and I finally were able to ski together on a powder day. THIS was what I had been waiting for since she was born. In my mind I had always been thinking about how great it would feel to finally see her making some good turns in good snow on decent terrain. Unrelated sports, but the same proud dad feeling. Great, now I’m daydreaming about ski season (again).
Congrats to you, your son, and your tuner on a great season so far.

ParticipantI was stuck on 51 for quite a while…actually, I’ll be in my bunk.

ParticipantJustin, you need more emoticons, seriously.

ParticipantFINE!! I’ll need all those parts for my racing comeback anyway!! (I’m kidding, glad you found what you needed.) It seemed like the thread was reinvigorated so I didn’t know if you were still looking.
You sure I can’t sell you a seized engine? Paperweight?
Kirk Deason
ParticipantI’ll dig through my stuff and see what extras I have. Right now I have a rapidly depreciating wall ornament of a seized engine. I’d get rid of the whole motor for the right (low low) price to be used as a spares lump. New electrics, BRAND NEW battery still in the box, I have a starter rebuild kit, some of that orange heat wrap for the flex pipe (works great). Oh, and I have a spare starter, too. I love karting, just can’t afford it. I’m keeping my super trick easykart frame though for my big comeback –one of these days.
Eddy, send me a PM if you are interested.

ParticipantDamn Tony. I think you grew up quite a bit, too. Good post. Keep up your great announcing and advocacy.

ParticipantHere’s a good video. http://vimeo.com/6075855 Good footage of the track and Pepsi center.

ParticipantGet that thing up on the stand, looks like we’re gonna need rain tires for this session.

ParticipantWelcome to CO Karting, Timothy. Folks on this board are very helpful, you’ll have about 500 questions as you get started, ask away.

ParticipantI will be practicing for the next tuner race. I’m showing up 4 days ahead of time with my giant racer rental motorhome and my rental race trailer full of rental tires. If may have to get all Tonya Harding on Curt Kistler if he doesn’t adjust his math/weight/correction factor.. This is serial bidness!
OK, truthfully, I was embarrassed by how badly some random dude named Rudolph beat me. 3 sec per lap is just ridiculous. I can’t blame the equipment. I am hanging my head in shame. :puke

ParticipantMan, I am sore and sunburned; lifting an S5 kart with 60 lbs of lead on it was like a power lift each time–i began to dread going to the grid and scales everytime. We had some bad luck with the motor(s) and carb but, like golf, it’s that one good shot per day that keeps us coming back looking for more each time. Thanks again to Mr. Rudolph, a true sportsman, for loaning the Wogrin Family a spare motor to allow us to compete. Everybody in our pits learned a ton and got faster and faster as the weekend wore on.
I want to thank Brad for the use of the rentals and Curt Kistler for organizing the Tuner Challenge race, that was really cool and I was excited to participate. (Results?) I almost felt like a real racer for a few minutes. I hope that the tuner challenge will continue at future races.

ParticipantI like the cut of your jib, Russ.
