ParticipantNice Eduardo! We were just working on Jeff’s car yesterday. Looking forward to seeing the Latin Flavor, red, naturally, haha, PICANTE!!

ParticipantI threw up my hand and looked in the mirror to make sure the racer behind me saw me waving, hahaha. I laughed at myself and restarted the tow vehicle. My 93 subie is really on its last legs.

ParticipantHA! Blink has it covered.
Chains: They break, keep at least one new spare.
Sprockets: They wear out, old chains will chew them up, and new ones will too if you don’t keep an eye on the chain tension.
Battery: One fully charged or ‘new’ spare.
Throttle cable: Cheap but important.
Brake cleaner-
WD40 (use as a cleaner, not as a lube)
Credit Card–get an extra one.Talk to the shockwave guys, too. Pay one of them to go to the track with you.

so what is the weight requirement for Tag Senior?
Depends on what motor you are running. Use this link to find your weights–your motor may be under the archived section..that does NOT mean your motor is illegal or too old.
http://www.tagracing.net/pdf/2009Homologation/2009_TAG_Rules.pdf your archived engine weight is on page 29

ParticipantI picked this car up for $489.99, I think it might be be able to hang with the 83 RX7’s and the 86 Beemer.

What do you think? Anybody wanna drive?
Oh and that’s my new garage in the background, too. You like?

ParticipantJeff is currently out of the office, training for race season in the powder snows of Tahoe.

ParticipantDo they race at 390? Or is it (the Biland) still for the heavy guys only, at 420? I know there are a couple different versions of the motor and exhaust, just wondering if 390 is legit?
I love the sound of that motor. Sounds like a Ducati to me.

No problem. I am the instructor of “Fork U” for all our shops technicians.
Am wanting attempt a back flip in one and really don’t want to tear our stuff up!
Rick
Too late, Ricky. Travis Pastrana has already been back flipping his forklift into a foampit. Redbull is sponsoring a live attempt after the superbowl. Maybe you can get Monster to sponsor your attempt..but it will have to be a double in order to get any airtime. Good luck and post video!!

ParticipantAngel, thanks for posting. I am very sorry to hear about your sister. I use this board or group of people as my sounding board, also. We have a great group of friends and everyone here is quite willing to lend an ear or a hand all the time. Keep us informed, a lot of people on here may have similair experiences and may be able to offer some advice on coping. I wish her luck in this tough fight.

ParticipantLance check out the ‘links’ section on this website to see all of the local vendors and shops that can help you out. You may want to purchase a new chain rather than try to extend your current one. Chains are fairly cheap at around 20 bucks or so.

ParticipantCitation needed where you got your info that Rossi was not running a wet setup. If he had rain tires on, he definitely had a soft suspension setup AND the proper ignition maps.
I spent a happy Sunday in front of the tube watching four great hours of bike racing. For once, Speed didn’t ruin my viewing experience. 2 pivotal World Superbike races, the 250GP race and then the MotoGP race. Fantastic. Every race was a nailbiter. I was even more pumped for WSB than GP because i KNEW Rossi would clinch, he only had to finish fourth and was sitting on pole. I did not expect the wet race, though. Then in WSB Spies was 10 points down on Haga and had to WIN both races. The first race he won convincingly after an unfortunate Haga crash from tenth on the grid. Spies then had to finish 6th or better in race two, which he did–barely–following some ridiculous moves by Biaggi. I was nervous about the Roman because he had taken Spies out once earlier in the year.
I have to comment on Stoner’s dominance, though. That kid is an Alien. He was lapping EASILY 2 seconds faster than Rossi in the wet. I don’t know where his speed comes from. He makes his teammate on equal equipment look like he is not even trying.

ParticipantI pay Jeff $200.00 per practice day and $350.00 per race day to work on his kart. I think I’m getting better at ruining his handling. I’ll turn both of you in to CPS as WORST PARENTS EVER!
Secretly Ricky, I may use your tape-the-hand method for myself. Someday I’ll be a super-tooner.
