ParticipantIf you guys want to see an event like this to get an idea of the competition and cars, there is a Chumpcar race at Pueblo March 27th and 28th.
We’ll be there with the rx7, a camper and whatnot if you want to stop in and say hi. The event is dual 7 hour races. Since the paddock is inside the track, come early enough to get in the facility before the race starts.

ParticipantGot the car stripped out completely, except the upper dashboard. Now I am looking for a good place to get a roll cage installed. I have found several unexpensive places out of town, however so far several local stores are charging way to much for the job… any ideas or suggestions?
Someone has recommended this guys:

ParticipantDamn, that almost looks too clean for Lemons. You could sort that one into a decent SCCA club racer Eduardo.

ParticipantUhm, it’s finally here. Racing is 11a-8p on Saturday and 930a-3p on Sunday if anyone wants to check it out. Not sure if they’ll charge spectators. We are running a short configuration, without the lesson and drifter corners, so most of the track is visible from the paddock. Look for the Martini-esque rx7 and say hi if you make it out.

ParticipantI’m gonna try to make it out either Sat or Sun. But with the new baby in the home and a ton of garbage on my “honey do” list, I’m not sure if it’ll happen. Regardless, best of luck to you Jeff, and the International Brokers team. I’m pulling for the both of you.

ParticipantTrouble, and success!!

Kind of terrifying to attempt a lap without brakes after a complete failure. (Couldn’t even stop from from a walking pace once in the pits.)

Any in-car video? That piston was hanging out of the caliper with the pad backing plate welded to it. We broke it off, jammed the piston back in, and added some used pads we had laying around. 😆
No onboard vid this time. I finally killed my camera a while back, and have not replaced it.
Here is a short one of testing at HPR
