:~ :us It’s official! The Colorado Utah Border war is on October 16,17 2010 @ Grand Junction Motor Speedway.
In conjunction with the GJMS Club Championships-SKUSA Mtn Region Finals we will be holding the 1st annual Border Wars between Colorado and Utah Karters.
With drivers like Schmitke, Yardley, Lindquist, Beeny and many others, Utah is a force to be reckoned with! Colorado Karters are going to have their hands full and will have to bring their “A” game to keep the Border Wars “Traveling Trophy” here in Colorado. Points will be awarded thru Qualifying, Heat races and Main events in each class.
Practice Saturday Racing Sunday.

JOHN BRADLEYThis is going to be a great warmup for Vegas. Keenan and Colby kicked some tail last year at Vegas. They both are running S1 this year and should be very competitive.
Utah should have drivers in the shifter classes and tag classes possibly the Mini Max class also. They have their Club race this Saturday and will have a better count of drivers in each class.

As part of the upcoming GJMS Border War weekend, we invite any age 60+ (give or take a few) karters out there to come join us at Grand Junction Motor Speedway the weekend of October 16-17th for the First Annual Geezer Border War & Beano Race. We’ll supply BBQ and the Beano, the rest is BYOB (in bottles or on two legs).The class will run in our own slot if we get enough to warrant. In fact, we’ll likely be THE entertainment during the early cocktail seating.
TAG only, low-time drivers preferred. Normal TAG rules apply, except for one addition: Adding Beano to fuel is prohibited. (You may use it elsewhere.)
At GJMS we have for rent a TAG and a DD2 should any low-time pilot want to arrive & drive. The DD2 may enter the O.F’s race, provided they’re not a ringer.
For you younger hotshoes that are planning to come, bring your racing elders for fun & speed for the whole family. There’s plenty of camping space and lots of fine accomodations plus nearby wineries for after-race activities.

Stacey – Any room for some Vampires from PPKRC in your race? We have some other club members interseted in coming up to support what we see as a great Club Race and Border War.
Things are heating up! We have 2 legends coming back out of retirement to represent the Colorado crowd in the Border War. Roman Gutierrez in Tag Masters and CWT Mike Cunningham in G1. There are a lot of Masters that have wanted a shot at the ex Champion, something tells me they will be surprised. CWT is back after a stellar golf career that saw him win several major _______ well he was on the course. This will be great to have them back. :redcar
