ParticipantJerry,
Take E-470 (toll road) east from I-25. Get off on Peoria ($0.75).
Take a left. Go to the end and take a right.
As the road winds left, the gate is on your left.
Call Ed or Carolyn and we will meet you there and show you around.
303-708-9400.
I will be at kart expo.
Thanks,

ParticipantTom,
There are several variables that need to be considered. 1st, if you pave in the summer, you better let the asphalt sit, to get the heat out of it, so it isn’t soft. This takes a long time. If you pave in the winter, you better have enough temp to be able to roll and compact the asphalt so it is smooth and hard. The rule of thumb is 45 degrees and rising. We met all the requirements. The pavers asked that I stay off it with the fast stuff for 1 week. The snow and cold is GREAT for keeping us away. The ground is covered and the pavement is hard as a rock. No frost underneath, and things look real good.
Stay tuned…

ParticipantHey Freeze,
If you post here and nobody reads it, did the posting happen?
Did you use nitro or air in the tires?
Is an ICC a “moto”, or “honda”?
What kind of shoes was the novice wearing when they ran, and did the pro have boots on?On a serious note…
I hope this is correct… We can combine several classes so that the Briggs and Jr1 groups won’t add time to the day. I would really hope that the groups start calling each other and get the racers out to the track. The more, the merrier.I know there is talk about what makes a pro a pro and a novice a novice.
The real solution is to eventually have class names that don’t have any pre-concieved perception about them. I guess that is what was good about S1, G1, etc…Roadbase down, some sort of game happening today so the trucks are sitting vacant.
Bye for now…

ParticipantAngie,
Thank you!!!
For those who were at the meeting and didn’t listen, and those of you who were not at the meeting and want to know, you can count on last years rules for this year. TaG USA changed some weights, so that is the only change of sorts.
The CSC will follow TaG USA. (those who weren’t sure about FWB)
The class names have changed and the order or grouping that is run on race day changes, but that shouldn’t keep anyone from putting together a motor package and checking out the schedule to plan vacation time.
If there are other questions, feel free to call me anytime, or Angie.
Thanks,
Jim
ps… Rich, when the dust settles, I will post any club race for the The Track on the site.Jim Keesling
ParticipantRuss,
I have agree with you. I was believing that we were filling up the summer, and at the meeting, everyone wanted more races.
It is going to be a fun, race-packed summer.

ParticipantI stopped in on Friday to see the event, and it was good to see Bill and his team jumping thru all the hoops to get tires and fuel in for everyone, always with a smile on his face. You can tell he knows how to work his event.

ParticipantRichard,
Thanks for the kind words. I thought it was interesting that the tire you had to buy was the “MZ” and not a choice of the FZ which we ran here last year with success. The name has stayed the same, the faces have changed, and we don’t know what is going to happen.
I always laughed at the old Zenith TV commercial years ago… “The quality goes in, before the names goes on”
I haven’t seen any quality yet.
Sitting on the sidelines, typing and typing…

ParticipantWelcome to the “Area 51 Track at Centennial”
We have been racing here for 3 years now.
Thanks to all that have helped flag the corners, work the concessions, and most importantly, the pool girls for keeping the pool clean and the beers flowing…
Now for the REAL Story…
I will make a formal announcement Wed. Jan 11, 2006 by 2:00pm.Thanks for all the excitement.

ParticipantI have been waiting to see what Tom and staff were going to do with the company.
I put forth my business plan to Tom and all the regions before I tried to buy SKUSA.
Now the new owner won’t call me at all. I don’t do business that way.
I can’t see the new plan working for the regional guy.
I agree with Brad, lets see how they do business in the future.
Any business arrangement needs to be in writing. Why doesn’t the Pro Kart Challenge require membership in the company he just purchased?
As far as the rules go, I am writing them as we speak. We need them for The Track and The CSC. They will be what you would expect from a National Org. Printed and enforceable. I am taking what was learned from the past and moving forward. Not starting over as some would suggest.
What SKUSA is offering is the promo for Pro Kart Challenge. (Lots of track time because no jr. classes, adults only please…)
That doesn’t work here, it works there.Patience, patience, patience.

ParticipantBrian,
I will list the classes shortly. To help foster the sport in Colo. it is very important to run what the state series runs.
The trouble with any National Series is you now have to make a choice. That choice will never go away. Why didn’t we see Levi Roberts all year? His choice was to do the National program, and do it well.
It doesn’t matter if it’s RMax, Stars, WKA, or the CSC you have a choice.
I couldn’t do the May 8 race last year and it costs me the chance in TaG Masters. (1 stuck motor at IMI, 1 missed race = 9th)
Good luck with whatever choice you choose. I hope to see you at the races.

ParticipantMike,
Oh my gosh… every date we choose ends in a “y”. yikes!!!
(sunday, sunday, sunday, sunday, sunday…)Stop the presses!!!
(he, he)

ParticipantDoug,
The CSC schedule is not set by me. Cool. All official announcements regarding series, equipment for sale and events run at The Track will be sent out by me. Once again, you are misinformed.

ParticipantThe supplied motor option is the fairest way to go if we, as a series, continue to “score” the kid karts. I haven’t seen one 5-7 year old “protest” another 5-7 year old. However, I sit back and listen to the parents and it drives me crazy. That is why you don’t see my son racing yet. This summer, when I can control the class at The Track, it will be his turn to “Learn to Race”.
The other option to stop all the protests is to stop scoring the class. Bring on anything you want, no scoring, checkerd flag at random, teach the kids how to drive and race.
I would rather see the kids scored, so making the class a true “SPEC” class is the only option.
Brad, Thanks to your offer to make this work, and not standing yelling at the problem.
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantFrom the CSC results page:
Entries per class
ICC – 9
S1 – 8
S2 – 10
S3 – 3
G1 – 17
K2 – 10
K3 – 8
TaG masters – 24
TaG sr. – 15
TaG jr. – 10
Mini Max – 6
K80 Jr 1 – 12
Kid Karts – 12
Clearly there is a difference between a regional series and the club series.Jim Keesling
ParticipantGreg,
If I remember correctly, you made the decision on behalf of the briggs racers to NOT race CSC because you didn’t want to follow the tire rule. You wanted open tires and the CSC spec’d a tire. The Briggs racer was and is always welcomed in the CSC. You chose not to be.
RESPECTFULLY,
