ParticipantHi,
Can you please use your name when posting so we know who we are talking with?
Thanks. Please find a copy of the homologation papers for the motor from TaG USA and the weights. We will follow those weights for the Mile High Challenge for the Biland. I am in the process of updating the rules this week for all motor packages that run at The Track and its series.
We need a copy of the spec. for tech.
Thanks,
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantYou bet!!! The Track has been working closely with Howard and the management of the center getting ready for the new season. Cant wait for all the new possibilities of karting on the southeast side of town, cross promotion, etc…
Its going to be a great year!Jim Keesling
ParticipantHello,
If you tune into http://www.ekartingnews.com/live, you can get all the practice times live, from E-karting news. The same way Racing the Rockies did it all season!!!Also, good luck to the racers that are actually RACING in the Supernationals from Colorado!
Those wearing all colors, but more importantly, the ones that raced all year, and are going against the best.
Special mention to those hanging out in the Dog House this week…
Brian Robson, Mitch Carey, Tyler Edwards, and Jack Bradley.I too cant wait for the opportunities for next year. Racing the Rockies, back again as the top regional program, the Mile high Challenge, a great club level program, as well as 24 hours of The Track, Broncos Cheerleaders, Pepsi Center and much more to come. But most important, GOOD LUCK to the racers racing the SuperNationals.
I can’t wait to hear all the stories!
Race Safe and Fast!

ParticipantHi there,
The “warm up sessions” are to make sure everything on you kart is working. All week, including Saturday is for practice. Sunday is race day. There are several people that show up Sunday morning, don’t practice and are going too fast for the groups of combined karts. The “at speed” is loosely enforced, mainly for the one or two that think it’s qualifying. It is not. A full round of “practice” takes up 1 1/2 hours to go thru the groups safely, as the races are run.Depending on entries, we may have a full round of “practice” due to the fact that we had to book several private parties Saturday, so there will be limited sessions in the afternoon. We tried to move them, but these were the only dates available for them. After racing Sunday, we have a film crew in filming a show for speed tv on the driver search, so that will take place right after the mains. Should be fun to watch!
The flaggers went a little overboard last race with the flags, but once again, any-day except race-day is great for practice!
See you at The Track!
Jim

ParticipantThe Dog House will be playing in Norman once we take care of business for race #4 of Racing the Rockies here at The Track this weekend.
The paddock was already filling up fast late last night, as all of our friends from the western slope started arriving. After the race Sunday night, we load the rigs, and move the Dog Pound to Norman!!!
The Dog Catcher has been busy rounding up a fast team for the Grand Nationals this year!!!
Making the trip in the mobile kennels are:Lindsay Brewer and family, Roger Bonham, Jim Keesling, Scott Falcone and Curt Kistler, Ben Schermerhorn and family plus Anthony.
I hope things dry out in Norman by the time we arrive Monday night…
Good luck to ALL the Colorado Drivers…

ParticipantSpeechless!
Thanks to all of you that took your weekend, your hard earned money, and trusted me (The Track at Centennial) to provide you with an experience worth attending. I can’t say enough about all the phone calls, e-mails, and posts thanking us for the event. We overcame a lot to put on a good show for you, the racers. Those that decided to race, WON!!!
This was a real team effort. All parts had to work in unison, at their best, and I’m so proud off everyone. TV, Tech, Registration, Flaggers, scoring…etc.
We have a huge list of people to thank, and will do so a little later in a formal event re-cap.
From the round of applause at podium, to the posts here – Thank You!!!

ParticipantHi Mike,
Here are your answers…
Spectators (friends) are asking the following and I don’t know the answers:
1) where do they park?
Pepsi Center Lot A or any of the surrounding lots. I don’t know if Pepsi is charging, but most likely.
2) should they bring chairs or will there be bleachers?
Bring chairs. Start finish line along free viewing. Lots of space.
3) can we bring a BBQ grill for post race and post qualifying festivities or will there be a caterer?
Both, but gas grills only. Dana who does the food at the Track on Race weekends will be there both days.
4) I imagine we should bring a fire extinguisher to keep the DFD happy, right?
You bet. No fuel in your trailer. Small jug outside near the generator if you are using one.Lost 7 pounds today in the heat putting the track together. Lots of interest!
Thanks,
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantHello all,
More updates.1) Fuel. Be prepared. You may bring your fuel jug full and mixed to the fuel farm on Friday. You will also have your 5 gallon pail to write your name on. Please bring your own oil and mixing equipment. All karts must be fueled in the fuel farm.
2) You may pick up your set of tires at The Track starting tomorrow. You do not have to race with these tires. Your race tires need to be MG yellows. If you already have a set and want to mount them up, feel free. We will have a sheet for you to sign that you received your tires with your entry.
3) Due to the economic times we are in, I am waiving the non-series member fee for this race only. If we have processed your entry, we will credit the funds back, or provide you the same amount at The Track as a credit.
4) We are getting close on fuel with the number of entries and confirming phone calls. Please fill out the entry form and bring it by The Track ASAP so we can deliver and have your fuel.
5) We are finalizing the camera crew and TV production of the event. More details to follow.
Once again, I want to thank “you-the racers”, for your support, all of our sponsors and KSE and Pepsi Center for letting us come play in their backyard.
I will have the track built by the end of the day tomorrow, (Wednesday) and we will be ready for move-in on Friday as planned.
We will have overnight security Friday and Saturday 6pm – 6am. We cannot guarantee any safety or security, however, there will be some show of authority.
More to follow…
Jim

ParticipantSo Justin,
It’s 8:30am, I’ve been driving for 1 1/2 hours so far, Roger is waiting for me to pit – helmet on and all, I know that Josh is out on the track, and has been for the past 1 1/2 hours, so I decide to pit after Josh, when I’m out of gas, or I lap the other corp kart again, which happens once an hour or so…Josh has told himself that he isn’t pitting until I do! so….
2 hours into the session, I see Roger all suited up on the hot pit lane doing push-ups as I drive down the front straight!!!
I think that is why the frosty cold beverage was more to his liking!!! LOL
see you next year, I hope…
Jim
