ParticipantI just saw Hoth enter our atmosphere this morning on my way into work.

ParticipantBrian,
How much interest are you getting for this race? What is your guess on number of entries?Let me know if there is anything on this side of the hill you need help with.
Happy New Year & See you in Feb.

ParticipantFind an oil mfg. that will support your series with their products and sponsor $$$$, then spec. them.
Same with tires and other karting products.

ParticipantWho is tougher than Ricky Booby?
Just got off the phone with him and he still has his sense of humor. Rick said he is doing fine, little weak, sore throat, but he will be back for more thrashing in 2007.Get some rest big guy, first race is Feb.11. You got time to cure and we can take care of the lifting.
PS: We will run some fresh grapes and a new palm leaf fan over early next week. Tell Lucy to switch arms often on the fanning or she will have a build like Jansen 😳 😯 😮 😛 ❗

ParticipantJeff is alive and kicking!! :!
Good to hear from you, and glad to see you want to come back to CO and give us all some ink.
Count on us to tug our stuff out to the KSGP in June. We will see how many other folks around here want to tag along. The pictures from last year got our (my) attention.Sounds like Steamboat may be back in the CSC circuit for 2007. I know you have some fondness for that part of our Colorful State. There is also a 2-3 hour endurance race slated for Feburary at GJ. Rumor has it some pretty fast teams are planning on attending from out of State.
Hope to see you throughout 2007 Jeff. Thanks for the information.

Please also give us as much notice so we can build karts and buy cheap air tickets.
RichieCheap air fare to CO in the winter time! Good luck buddy.
I agree, this is going to be a fun event and should pull some people out of the basement we have not seen in a while. And with Welch & Cario spouting off how fast they are will even add fuel to the fire.

ParticipantDitto Stuey and Ricky,
One way for everyone to go faster in Vegas every November is to get more experience on temp circuits.I also feel bad for all of the effort some of us put into the GGP on a 3 year commitment to have it thrown out of the mix. With or without the CSC the GGP will happen again. The survey said it was the best race in the CSC 2006 season.

ParticipantHere are some other ideas for thought. A timed race may be better than total laps. MG reds for the amount of laps may be a good call. Found this just posted from another region: http://www.rmaxchallenge.com/page.cfm?content=4&display=168
Look at how they are going to average the weight. Just drop the math to 2 drivers instead of 4.GJ is the only place to do a race like this, you go Brian. Still smooth as a baby’s butt out there. Tracks not in bad shape either. 😕

ParticipantWelcome to Colorado Karting Highlander!
You can see the assigned number plates in TAG Masters here: http://www.coloradosprintchampionship.com/06pointswithdrops/2006pointswithdrops.htm
The driver/racer license situation was discussed in a town meeting a couple of weeks ago. There was no conclusion at that time. Just log as much seat time as possible this winter, and get out there with as much on-track traffic as possible. Your times will drop and your skills will increase as you learn how to pick off slower karts, safely.
Don’t worry about your suit creeping up your leg while driving. That’s the first thing to creep up on you while driving. Just wait till you meet Mr. Jansen. 😯
Feel free to ask any question you please on this forum. There are many great karters out here willing to help you figure things out.

ParticipantGeorge,
I have no beef with you, never had one. Our personal history at your facility speaks for itself. I attempted to include you with no success. It’s up to you personally to get with the other track owners and come up with a plan. Until that happens I have no clout. If you could only see and hear the comments I get you would understand.
I received 1 survey from your region. It had many great comments and suggestions. Hopefully more can show up for the meeting and add value to the meeting.
The bulk of this meeting is based on what is happening in the State. That happens to be the CSC. It has become one of the premier series in the country and has a lot of great people helping it grow. Many of us would love to see CRE enter into the mix to include your customer base, and allow all the drivers an opportunity to race on the most technical track in the state. (With the best scales)
Please come and you will have a great opportunity to speak and be heard. Your challenge from my perspective is to get your peers on the same page, and put an end to the disrespect and hatred we racers hear when you all get into it.
:peace :hiCurt Kistler
ParticipantGeorge will be in attendance at the meeting, however, please keep in mind one thing. My spirt and intent for this meeting, and survey, was all based on the 2006 CSC season, PERIOD. George was not asked to sit in on the panel for obvious reasons.
This is a recap of the season past, and brainstorming session to build a better 2007 season. If CRE can find a way to get into the mix, fantastic. I am positive that if there are any direct CRE/WKA/George Durdin questions, he will do a great job in answering them.
Those of us who have raced in any CRE program know how much fun his track is, and how hard George works at keeping his facility top notch. Lets hope things can change and we can welcome CRE into the 2007 CSC schedule.
Feel free to ask him any question on Sunday you wish. But I hope to keep the main focus on the CSC. There will be lot’s of open weekends between now and next spring if anyone esle want’s to host another meeting.
Thanks.- AuthorPosts
