Answering some questions:
Curt: ICC is dead perhaps due to Kyle Ray dominating the field but hey let’s consider a few facts here. 1) if you have to rebuild your engine or top end it every other race (I’m pulling numbers out my butt so don’t quote me please) then that is an expense. I see no spec Honda people doing that. 2) Kyle dominated TaG Senior and that field only grows. Ya think it might be because you can compete against someone knowing their engine’s the same as yours so if you’re getting waxed they are either a better driver, better tuned engine or better tuned chassis. You removed the engine question. 3) ICC pro = $$$ for an engine to be competitive. Please tell me Barry, Swedetech, Dave Harrold (sp) etc are cheap? Like I said, checkbook racing to a point to be competitive, right?
My K Ray comment was pure comic relief, at least it made me laugh. However, I do know of a 125 spec team that nuked at least three motors in 2006, and another that does top end’s every race.
My cost to rebuild a bottom end is $75.00 more than the 80 was. We are still on the original bottom end on the DDR, and we went thru less pistons this year than we ever did in the 80. They are not that expensive to run when you learn how to tune them and when to downshift.
Kyle and Matt could switch karts at any time and Kyle will still check out on him. He is a very good driver at the top of his game and works harder than anyone at staying there. We have been chasing him going back to the 60 shifter days and love every minute of it.
The PRO ICC class is not dead. We will have at least 8 running in it next year which is still more than a few other classes I won’t mention. We don’t mind getting waxed in our class when it’s done by friends. We’ll be back for more Ray and Elliott abuse, and look forward to racing the next wave of challengers.

ParticipantThe facility Angie found us this year is very nice. Large, new, clean and it’s a Denver Police banquet/training facility.
Personally, I would like to see business casual. IE: No jeans or T’s.
This is our year end party and we should kick it up a notch.
Just my personal thought.Curt Kistler

The yes or no question is based on the feedback already received, correct? Then I applaud your effort to get the answer to the question that you have asked. There is no point going back to square one to discuss multiple engine packages in my view. PRESS ON!!!!
Spot on George, thanks for your positive input.

Meek Motorsports, LLCEddy,
I turned all of the surveys over to the track owners. To my knowledge there has been no decisions made on a motor package in any class. Hopefully, this is the reason we are having this meeting.
If there are 34 kids racing in one class in the CSC that will be truley epic. Every one of you should attend the meeting and stand united. If 34 teams show up with 5 different motor package request, then I will almost bet it will be a long day with nothing getting accomplished.
Everyone needs to show up and have their say. Take a formal vote in front of others and see where the chips fall.As far as the survey goes, there were less surveys turned in than 34. I can tell all of you, less than 6 were from parents with kids in this class. Having said that, anyone with a solution or good idea needs to show up Sunday and be heard.

ParticipantYou did a great job all weekend Brian! We wanted to go shake your hand but you were surrounded every time we tried by the most specatular field of kart drivers ever assembled. The show was awsome!
Cudos to John also, he ran very well with that bunch as you stated.
See you this weekend.

Why do you all think ICC pro class is dead here in Colorado?
Cause Kyle Ray is too Dammmmm Fast, and he kicks our butts, that’s why!

ParticipantA suggestion has been made to invite each of the viable bodies, (WKA, SKUSA, etc.) to give a presentation at the town hall meeting in order to evaluate first hand this issue and make recommendations. This idea has merit
.
I know George will be on hand to talk about the WKA. AJ and I can answer SKUSA/PRO Kart Challenge questions. If there are any other organization rep’s that want the podium at the meeting, please show up and state your proposals.

ParticipantCraig,
I ditto what everyone else has said about you. One point I want to make is that you are to karting, what we at times all loose track of. You are into this sport for fun, friendship and the thrill of racing. We can all race karts at different levels, but you have always kept things in perspective. Have fun, keep smiling, make new friends and keep coming back for more.At every GGP meeting you had one goal: “How can we get people to attend this race and get them interested in this sport?” You had guest drivers, from the military, and were always bringing new ideas to the table to help grow this sport of ours.
You taught us how valuable life can be, and how to deal with adversity. We are all stronger and more aware of how bad decisions can change the lifes of others. Your commitment to MADD is to be commended.
I envy the folks in Canada that get to share your passion. They are the lucky one’s.
Not to offend any of the people who have performed the National Anthem at the CSC races over the years…. But, Nobody has ever belted it out like the lady you brought to the GGP this summer. That was a “proud to be an American” moment that I, as a Viet Nam vet, will always cherrish.
Safe journeys buddy, and good luck to your wife and her new location. I hope to see you next year at the GGP showing Jansen how to get down and do twenty.

ParticipantThe deadline for the surveys is this Friday. Be sure to get them in to be part of the data reported at the Town Meeting.
Remember that the meeting will be the day after the 2006 Awards Banquet. Out of towners that wish to be part of the Town Meeting can book a room at The Holiday Inn and get some extra sleep prior to the start.
I plan on making the first part of the meeting informational with the reporting of all the survey data. Please be prompt as the Town Meeting will start on-time, regardless of the weather and the Bronco Game.
Ian will be in the bar prior to the start of the meeting getting hammered with Bobby if you wish to get lubed up
Doors will open at 11:00am. The meeting will start at 11:30 sharp ❗
Hope to see you all at both events.
