I can’t tell people what to drink on their time, however, I will have Big Mike Edwards in charge of crowd control. We will have moderators to keep things moving and on topic, and a full adgenda to make the day go by very fast. If anyone shows up and decides to drink too much and let the booze take over, I am sure there will be enough concerned karters on board to show them the door.

I am confident in the folks who are showing up to make this a very productive day.

    Thanks,
I am off to Maui for a week of R&R with the family. Please contact Angie or Rusty if you have any questions or concerns about the meeting.

    Aloha :sail

I watched the video yesterday and decided to break out the killer sound system for the awards banquet. Along with the big screen video this years banquet will have allot of slides and vid’s to entertain all.

If anyone has any 2006 CSC slides burned onto a disk, please bring them to the awards dinner. We will have everything there to show them.

Rick was spot-on with his description of Romans wall incident. He really smacked it good :rotate:

You can get me the surveys in any form or shape you want. All of my contact information is referenced on the surveys.

Keep the information coming. I am even tracking all comments and suggestions people talk about on other threads.

We have located a place to have the meeting, and the date should be finalized real soon. Stand by for news.

    Stacey,
The Friday night at 7pm would be great. We can now find out who the committed karters are. If the weather is any good on Saturday perhaps you could throw a “run what you brung” race.
I know many folks on this side of the hill won’t want to make the trip, however, after your support and efforts on (7) front range races this season, it’s the least we can do. This might even bring in a SLC racer or two also.

Count me in on Friday evening.

Get the Doubletree warned now to stock up on the Green Bottled Beers and gars!

    George,
I am working hard to locate a place and time that will work. There have been twenty-one surveys turned in, which in my opinion is very light. Jim and Stacey are out of town on the first date I picked. And the Supernats are approaching very fast. It will more than likely happen after the 11-12-06 weekend.
I am running out of steam as a volunteer dad trying to pull this together. There have been about 4-5 others that want to help out with the meeting, however, time is running out along with my passion.
The “Silent Majority”, which are the ones who do the least in participating, and most in complaining, need to step up now and at least turn in a survey. Believe it or not, the +20 surveys we have are from the same folks who post here and voice their opinion all the time. And yes, I am one of them.
So, get the Track Owners on board along with the so called “Silent Majority” and maybe I can get excited again.

The common threads to all the surveys has been: fewer classes, tighter rules, less races, no drops. There have also been some very good general comments that are very well thought out and something that should be considered.

As usual, all your comments and concerns are welcome. Any new voices out there have any thoughts?

    Joe,
You make great points with respect to the rule book. Again, this is why so many people are pushing for a more formal meeting this year to determine what will be happening next season. The racing in the rain is a dead horse out here. It was decided prior to the first race, and we all had to live with it.
Lets all learn what just happened and make next season better for all.

We now have over twenty surveys filled out to date. Keep them coming.

    Brian,
The decision made today was the proper one. The rule you are stating is in the 2006 CSC rule book, however, we all had a vote at the meeting IMI hosted last winter. The majority of people who attended the meeting voted no rain racing, except for the GGP for obvious reasons. There are some addendums to the rule book and the rain rule is just one of them.

As far as a 9 race season in unpredictable Colorado goes, today was the only race all season that weather played a role. Love it or hate it, Rusty and Jim made the correct call today. It’s just too bad it happened on the last race with so many Championships on the line. I’ll bet that the camera crew filming the special for Chase and Bill would have liked to have seen the mains completed also. There was an awful lot going on today and Mother Nature let us all down.

Now for my adder. Please everyone, take the time to fill out the 2006 End of Season Survey and get it faxed in ASAP. Give the survey your opinion on rain racing and other important issues you want the decision makers to ponder before the rules are set for 2007.

I am sure Matt and Kyle could give you some friendly advice to just stay in sunny warm AZ and surround yourself with some tan hard bodies.

You won’t miss anything here in cold, rainy, windy white skinned CO.

Then at least attempt to include the Jr. 1 families from up North, out West and down South.
