The 80 class has a front brake option with an additional 10 lbs. This will allow us STARS teams to build a car to compete with the big boys out on the road.
Thanks to the CSC guys for making this rule.

    Angie,
If you remind me tomorrow at the IMI meeting I will give you a copy of the mag Matty’s mug shot is in. They actually did a good job even though they have him listed as 12 years old. Oh well, can’t have it all, where would you put it?

What planet was that family from?
I missed the first series, read about it on ekartingnews, then kept an open mind for the second series. Hope the first one was better. I could not believe that kid’s attitude. His parents are really raising a future problem to society. Sorry for the opinion, however, that show does not represent the same sport we participate in.
All dad’s fault, shut up mom, go away, get out of my face, get me a better kart, that kid got in my way… It’s OK son, whatever you say, it’s all my fault, your right… GOOD GOD I ALMOST BARFED 😡

On another note with the Discovery Channel. What was up with the new chopper series Millwaukee Steel? What trailer park is that group from? Discovery needs to do a little more homework prior to putting garbage like that on the same network with the Tuttles and Jessie James. I will be interested to see how that purple piece of c*#@ competes with all the other real choppers.

Now I feel better, all done.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Your welcome. And thanks to everyone who brought the goodies to munch on and drink.
How do you spell success? Matt and I were to be in Keystone at his grand dads house by 4pm. Well we got here about 5:30. Due to the amount of folks who showed up, and the length of the Q&A session, we got out of there late. No problems at all, I was just happy that something like this can happen, and it was by all means successful.
What’s next? How about that motor seminar, or classroom driving session, track rules and driver ediquite… Time is left to have some volunteers step up, and my shop is always open to host an event.
Thanks again go out to Doug Welch. We have never beat a Welch kid when it matters, however, now we have a little more info he shared making us a little bit faster in ’04.

    Mike,
Bring whatever munchies you want, and I am sure the J1 chassis will help with Dougs discussions.
We will have hand outs available, and if anyone like Marc cannot make it, I am sure you will be able to swing by Shockwave to pick up a copy at a later date.
If anyone coming has chassis articles that will add value to the handout, please bring them and we will incorporate them into the packets.

This seminar has 28 interested karters coming at this time. There is room for more so please come, and get to know each other.

Thanks Angie for allowing us Colorado Karters this type of local activity to happen. Without your dedication and hard work many of us would still be in the dark.

    Doug,
    Their web address is http://www.milehighsportsmagazine.com
Looks like their next issue is due out in a couple of weeks. I should be in touch with the reporter that will keep an eye on us and get him your contact info.
PS: You should get a copy of the last issue with Jeremy Bloom and the Colorado ski bunnies. Great pictures of the mountains 😯

    Angie,
    Their web site is http://www.milehighsports.com
We were contacted by them due to Matts involvment with STARS of Tomorrow. His article and pictures will be in the next issue due to hit the streets 1-24-04. I will bring you a copy to the AIM seminar.
They will also be following the CSC throughout the summer for follow up articles. Lets put on a “Happening”, not just another race for some positive press and awareness to our sport. 🙄

    Josh,
Your master calendar did not show any of the CRE/WKA events. I know some of you feel they don’t matter, however, all of the 80’s that raced there last year also attempted to run the CSC series.
CRE is also the only way to get regional points to qualify for the STARS finals which we race.
Just another reason to drop one this year.

    Chaz,
No, however, it should preclud you to open up a can of worms for water that is way down stream. Some of us who have another 4-5 years of active competitive karting ahead of us want to move forward.
Please do not start any negitive postings if you are not interested in trying to mend old wounds. You have added value to all of the functions I have attended with respect to the many different roles you have played. You are a very intelligent person with alot of information. You could personally help our situation if you wanted to. I’ll bet that other track owners will also perk up with their opinions. This willl not fix the problem. Sitting down and discussing the issues will. Coming up with a sanctioned set of rules will. Being mature will.
CRE should not be excluded from the CSC is all I wish. If it is, so be it. We will still raced the CSC and try to support the owners and shops who are after the better interest of us, the consumers.

Food is always a great way to entice people to come. Heck, if Brad didn’t serve pizza and beer at his meetings it would just be him and his laptop with all the pictures. 😮
As we approach the 24th, it would be great to see some of you bring coffee, doughnuts, fruit…whatever you feel like. The seminar will be held at E Light Electric, in our training facility. The address is:
    361 Inverness Drive East
    Suite B
    Englewood, CO 80112
    Driving Instructions:
Exit, County Line off I-25, go East
Veer to the right onto Inverness Drive South
You will see the Colorado Athletic Club on your left,
The next street is Inverness Drive South also, (it’s a big loop)
Turn left, and take the first drive on the right.
You will find the E Light office in the back

My cell is 303-638-0786 if anyone gets lost. Inverness can get confusing if you missread one sign.

Doug and I should have hand outs, however, if anyone coming has good chassis articles, information, or other documents that might add value to this seminar, by all means bring them.

    Thanks again,
    Curt

I have seen at least 5 TM’s on those red and yellow chassis come out of Team Billet this winter. Look for them to compete in all classes. All the guys have been testing hard every (dry) opportunity also.
Barry has found quite a bit of extra power with their testing efforts.
