Curt Kistler
ParticipantJust wanted to express our thanks to George and all his efforts during the 2003 season. This included a National Pro Moto with the STARS group, a ROTAX Challenge series, and a IKF State Championship race.
The banquet last night was very well done and the key note speaker Allan Wilson could not have been better. Both of the Wilson’s bring alot of experience and passion to your track. I wish all of the Colorado karters could have heard their story, and felt Allan’s enthusiasm for his wife.
Cudos to the IKF for their jackets, stickers, and plaques. These will all be worn and displayed with pride at our camp.
The reorganizing to WKA will be a positive move and should offer many different opportunities to show off our region and allow us to travel different directions to compete at the national level. Way to go!On a final note I would like to offer our services to entertain Allan’s resolution to have a karting day at your track to bring guests, potential sponsors, and other karters who have not seen your facility. Team Billet alone has seven members who have not seen the track yet. Lets get that effort going and set a date. I also hope the CSC board can come to some agreement that would bring one or two events to CRE. It may even offer an answer to all the other questions out there pertaining to weight, HP, motors, age, safety, classes, qualifing, points, helmets, fuel, carbs…
Come on Colorado, can’t we all just get along?
Thanks again George, see you at the races.

ParticipantWell said Curt! Yes I haven’t been to the track either, but once I get my ride I’ll have to take a trip down there and see what is all about.:)

Sadly, this won’t happen. At least not in the forseeable future. No need to go into the particulars as we know those all too well. Until those things change and all the way around, the CSC will be three tracks and a temp – not including CRE.

I don’t see how. 😕

Nope.

However that doesn’t preclude me from offering an opinion based on information in my possesion, now does it?

ParticipantChaz,
No, however, it should preclud you to open up a can of worms for water that is way down stream. Some of us who have another 4-5 years of active competitive karting ahead of us want to move forward.
Please do not start any negitive postings if you are not interested in trying to mend old wounds. You have added value to all of the functions I have attended with respect to the many different roles you have played. You are a very intelligent person with alot of information. You could personally help our situation if you wanted to. I’ll bet that other track owners will also perk up with their opinions. This willl not fix the problem. Sitting down and discussing the issues will. Coming up with a sanctioned set of rules will. Being mature will.
CRE should not be excluded from the CSC is all I wish. If it is, so be it. We will still raced the CSC and try to support the owners and shops who are after the better interest of us, the consumers.January 12, 2004 at 8:58 pm #45728Anonymous
InactiveOkay. Point taken.

ParticipantUnfortunatly, chaz is right, CSC at CRE is damn near immposible for a few years, CRE is great, nice track, people (to us, very generous) and racing, but as chaz said, at the current, it seems too unlikely to be something to look forward to. I would like it, but read the past posts on this and EKN, and unfourtunatly you will know why.
