ParticipantYour killing me Chaz. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.
Thanks Rich. Matt loves it soooo much, he has learned to just accept it. Good news is in talking with the Ace, the next step in open wheel racing is much more safe and comfortable on the driver. Even Barry got a ride in a real Indy car a couple of weeks ago and said it was much more easier on the driver. He looked very fast too!

Participant[/quote]Caused several children to wet their pants and an old man to have a heart attack because of my totally sick, radical, and over-the-top performances.
What were the kids and old people doing when you woke up? And tell all the folks here who’s bed was really wet when you woke up.

ParticipantRich,
Trying not to disgruntal you, Matt busted two ribs at Bandi two years ago and still suffers today. We have a deep seat, three different rib protectors and padding…
We love to race Bandi and Matt is the raining 80 shifter pilot champ out there, however, there is nothig we have found that makes his pain go away. He say’s it goes to a certain level/threshold then stops hurting. He is only 14 and is having this reoccuring problem at rough tracks. Chances are your pain will be around as long as you race karts. You just need to find your threshold, take the proper pain meds, and try to take turn one a little wider out there.(Counter-clockwise)
Ask Chaz how his ribs and shoulder feels sometime. 😥Good luck this season!

ParticipantStacey,
What colors were the karts?Curt Kistler
ParticipantWhat would happen if there was an elected board of concerned karters who would meet with Doug, track owners and other CSC appointed officials to discuss and create the yearly rules?
You could have one (elected by the class) representitive from each of the seven classes who could be the spokesperson for the entire group. It’s way too late this year, however, I could see something like this allowing for quicker decision making next season.
Just another one of my thoughts.

ParticipantCall Barry at Billet. He makes them out of bar stock, custom for your kart at half the price of dive weights.

ParticipantNot trying to start any trouble, just trying to stick up for my team. Seems all the Billet guys are the ones wanting the weight.
Sorry for the passion, just seems to take charge of my two typing fingers sometimes.Curt Kistler
ParticipantJB,
Where were all these people when the real vote was cast? The snow did not stop our efforts driving in from C Rock.
Next I’m going to find out that our front brakes have been outlawed by a after the fact show of hands.
The meeting at IMI was very well announced that the rules were going to be set for 2004.People should get more involved when the opportunity comes. Didn’t you get a little pissed when SKUSA changed the rules on you after the fact?

ParticipantOnce again. Air boxes do not change the performance of the moto motor. We have dyno sheets on our 80 with a K&N, a three hole box and a four hole box. If the inside air filter is clean, you will see no difference in HP. The only difference we found was on the two hole box mandated by STARS. It was 1.5 HP less with a filter, and no difference straight. Since all of the 80 with STARS ran the same exact box, there was no harm.
This is where all of karting is going, the sooner we get there the better. Stick with the SKUSA rules throughout all CSC races for the shifters. I agree with Bill R.Curt Kistler
ParticipantGood point Josh. And I’m not frustrated yet Angie. Just give me time, I’ll show some attitude. LOL
I have been doing my best to get a major sponsor on board. Got some things working, and we have a local rag that is going to do a story on our season, plus do articles on the CSC. I can only hope that all of us are trying to elevate our sport to the next level with finding sponsors. If someone gets one or two on board I am sure we can become just as popular as moto x is on any given Sunday.
CurtCurt Kistler
ParticipantThis can go either way. My original proposal was to elevate the CSC events to that of a Pro-Moto event. The track owners are in the karting business and trying to keep their facilities in the best of conditions for all of us to race on. At the end of the day toys like a solid PA system, podium and having a educated announcer are secondary things that are impossible to afford. Yes we can race without these bells and whistles, I beleive your standard club race weekend at all four tracks have little if any extras.
I personally want to hear a drivers meeting with 100 entries, and if Matty ever podiums at a CSC race, I would like to see him on a podium, not standing in the dirt. I also want to hear what other friends and team members are doing when I am thrashing to get ready for our next session. I am willing to kick in $10 for this at each of the seven races.
If the price is already tooo high for most of you then we need to drop this issue and go race.
Just vote and let me discuss this with Doug and the three track owners.
The sound guys can always find other events to book, no issues there.
Thanks,

ParticipantWayne,
There are many different companies that manufacture these types of parts, however, with the different kart set-ups, one size does not fit all. I have purchased brackets in the past and had to modify them to fit our car. My suggestion is to have Barry Lewis at BILLET custom make your bracket to your car. The price will surprise you, and it will look like it belongs on your machine. Give him a call before your money goes out of town. We did, and have received many compliments on our brackets.

ParticipantAir boxes are a good thing. We do not see any changes in our motor with or without one. The sound of the motor is much better in my opinion also. More exhaust, less carb noise. Just make sure you get the right box for your applications. Doug sells a real good one at Shockwave if anyone needs one prior to GJ.
