I can’t see having another meeting for two or three issues that we can resolve with communication.

    JB,

No meeting for me. Whatever the track owners and Doug decide is fine with me.

Just come out with the final rules for all classes quickly and post them.

There is a chat program on this website, an organized online dissucssion could work just fine

I would attend if one is setup. I missed the last one, and would like to meet some of you local guys before the season starts.

BTW, Preston, I sent you an email. Let me know if you got it.

I think another meeting is unnecessary. Track owners and Doug — make the decision(s) and post the rules. All of us (racers) are driven by self-interest. No way is everyone going to be happy. Make the call, and if we find that there something is seriously screwed up, then make a mid-season correction. I thought it worked pretty well last year. We can’t let ourselves become what we formed the CSC to avoid.

Polling on the web is inherently flawed (too easy to stuff the ballot box).

    FWIW,

I agree with Wayne. Track owners and Doug, make the decisions that need to be made. Post them, with all the other official rules. And if adjustments are necessary later on, then make them. Lets get these rules issues settled, and published. Then lets go racing. That’s what its all about.

Wayne, very well put, we all sound like a bunch of old women.

What would happen if there was an elected board of concerned karters who would meet with Doug, track owners and other CSC appointed officials to discuss and create the yearly rules?
You could have one (elected by the class) representitive from each of the seven classes who could be the spokesperson for the entire group. It’s way too late this year, however, I could see something like this allowing for quicker decision making next season.
Just another one of my thoughts.
    Curt
