ParticipantJon, get a spine. The pro active people are frustrated, not me.
I suppose then John Force is a bad/ loud advocate for the world of drag racing. Ssshhh, lets be quite, there is a race going on, somebody might hear us. This ant golf or bowling. LOL
The more you bow to the demands of a few frustrated proactive problem finders the more they will demand.
A loud fast racing motor at a race track will draw more participants than complainers. The only reason a few complainers can ruin it for all the participants is because they become louder and heard more from than the participants or the racers.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantYep I agree, them Proactive noise issue people are becomeing bigger and bigger.
I like to be proactive when ever possible, like in racing, and make as much noise as I can. It’s hard to beat the noise fun factor that them jets in Grand Junction or the drags at banimere with just a kart. Maybe if them 2 strokes would run with out a silencer we could get some people to stop and see what all the noise is about? 😆Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantWanye, come up and I’ll help you make your own. I’m sure we could add at least 1 placebo effect HP to the parts. You could order them but that would be too easy and less expensive and not a waist of time. So the ones we make would have to be faster.

ParticipantSorry Angie , it is probably something on my end, but the goggle is a cross the message. I can scroll down in fast mod for an hour of whiteness.

ParticipantI sure don’t know the answer to making it work best. It does look like a free for all, whats up, type of year for our little american machines. The mixing of all of them is still too new of a therory and will not be simple or even be known to have a sollution.
Craig gave me a copy of some rules?? from the meeting, But I think every thing is still in the works to be posted in black and white??
Greg I wish we could use a .875 venture as all the 2003 and older IKF rules for, super stock, limited modified, Star, Spec Limited, Blue Wazom, all had that size from the factory and a .900 no-go for tech. I know give me an inch and I take a mile. what do you think. I do like your exception rules, I just hope others do as well.
Does any stocker flathead people realize that WKA has a .005 pop up and IKF has a .015 pop up? I think that will eliminate quite a few previously built motors??
Will all Animals be required to run the new billet wheel and shroud?
Limited mods must use the billet aproved billet wheels?
You know me I would like to be able to use an aproved after market billet wheel in the Animal mod class as well???
Girdles/third bearings are allowed on limited mods, are they on the limited mod Animals?Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantNope, just thought it was my windows 95 at it’s best.
The google is over the info, I need my Beer goggles.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantDam, 8:00 AM? I’m over 100 miles away, so I guess I better get going.

ParticipantThat’s perfect.
What does an ugly kart have to weigh.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantNow that we have some rules to follow, how does one get them?

ParticipantWhat kind of markings does a seasoned, too aggressive of a racer get on there number plate? I think a bulls eye would be good and make them run it for three races? 16 and up is adult in karting and I hope it stays that way as father and son teams are the back bone to karting, plus it’s a blast to try and beat em when you get old.
In the SCS series we do qualify to receive our starting postion. If I or anyone esle starts in the TAG class as a “New Guy” I would not mind a sticker or bulls-eye on my kart. But if I have done my homework to be on pole for the first race, I sure wouldn’t want to give up that spot with out some cash in my hand. Bobby has the black flag and it’s power to keep us racers in line.
“If I can’t wreck it I don’t want to race it.” 🙂Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantI could see a spec tire in the pro classes, like in the past. The great thing about an open tire rule, or durometer rule is that in the budget classes, that don’t wear the tires out as fast, can get many take-offs from the pro classes that still have some life in them. It worked for me last year, as I only bought one set of new tires, all the rest were used. Please don’t make us use some tire that no other class uses just because they are cheeper. My cheap buddies and I would have to buy new then.
Doug I knew neither one of us could guess how many more racers there would be if there was a drop. My point is if there isn’t a drop the number of racers will not increase from day one. Yes there is exception to it all, yet no drop is only a benifit to the existing SCS racers, and in no way does it fit the all enclusive theam of SCS. Yes we do it to have fun, so whats the point or reasoning behind not having a drop?
Street races are just a good place to tear up equipment and get hurt.
Sure I love/hate them and will do them, yet it would be a good way to end all the fun.[/u]Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantGood points Doug, But how can you figure the number of entries that didn’t even start the series before or after the first race is over because they had little hopes in getting to all the races?
Making it easy to support the SCS for a non-supporter is more important to me than helping us who are allready hooked on the seriers.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantI agree with Angie?Wanye and others who feel like there needs to be a drop.
If there is no drop, the most entries you will have is the same number that the first race sees, plus if a problem accures during the season with any driver, what would be the insentive for that driver to pursue the series any further? Having no drop is only going to dwindle down the number of entries during the series of races. In no way would it add to the number of racers. Which do you want more racers or less racers?
OK, if the track owners are deciding what the racers are going to do. I wouldn’t be surprized if they tried to require the racer to pay for the drop, even if they didn’t race. But us racers aren’t going to let them make all the decisions, are we? 🙂
Heck lets talk a little about enty fees.
If I club race or CSC race I still get the same award, a trophy. Now do I want to pay twice the amount for that same trophy and for the same amount of track time? I don’t mind paying a little more for year end awards but it shouldn’t be much more.
I would like to see more seperation of the Pro classes and Amiture classes, starting with, if there is pay-out in the pro classes, they can pay more entry fee than the amitures.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantScott, Thanks for coming to give us an education. Will you have products with you for sale? I look forward to this meeting.
