Greg, We have mainly been mod LO’s WF’s and flathead. Brian Hoffman did run a stock LO last year too. We basically bring all the karts for the show which last year was only four of us and the race official has allowed us to utilize CIK karts. I have a set of american and metric wheels and tires studded and available yet the gearing needs are in the range of 7-1 to 8-1 depending on the motor. Today/Sunday @ 12:00 we are having a test run for a short track at the Trout Club which is close to my shop. I might be able to have another test run during the week if you need? So far I have 5 maybe 8 racers planning on the race and would enjoy seeing more.

I generally just mount some ice tires on it for winterization.

Hay! I need some kart racers!! This weekend I have a test track, tires/wheels clutches and gears to help some other Stupid Karter to get ready for next weekend. It seems like you are scared to race?

We need more kart racers to have a race Lapoehn. Some help in the pits is always great too. Here is a link to a heat and a main we had there a few years ago.

Cool, Thanks, I understand a few “members and Orgs” with alphabet soup names make many posts yet I would bet every time a post is made there is only one human making the post and it’s nice to know who is saying what, where and when.

I like the rule of using your name for posts made by you. It helps everyone to learn and remember others in this great sport. I will also encourage the person who made this topic to do the same,  “thecoloradokarter” “keymaster” “Us” ???

Someone needs to post something. Will we get a “new post sense last visit” tab? Will our Coloardo karters learn to go fast in the Desert this weekend?

I must have missed them there arguments you have been having. If you keep hearing these arguments before falling asleep and after you awake I would bet it means that you should start racing with us again. I have some old 206 seals you can have if your inner Animal needs them.
Did you all ready wreck your new car?

Ken, The 1500 used bike motor needs a few things that add up to a fresh kart motor.
    New crank and rod
    new top end kit
    new SKUSA pipe
    99 ignition system
    97 6 speed gear box
    power valve stuffer
    silencer
    fuel pump
    carb help
somebody that knows how and what to look out for when assembling “Stock Motors”

To spend most of your budget on a new chassis for a new driver is just as questionable.
The risk wrecking/bending up a new chassis is higher than blowing up a new motor.
Your budget well spent for your first year would best spent on fuel, tires, race and practice fees while tearing up some used chassis and motor.

Mac, speaking of peaces missing on your kart. You know if we had a real tech man you would have been DQ’ed for violation of 721.7.3 You outlaw bastard! You better also order a new rear bumper for the next time I see you. 👿
