ParticipantMarc,
I clicked on your dare and couldn’t get anywhere. Just wanted to blogg ya into being more environmentally friendly by using Alky, the real racing fuel of 4 strokers.

ParticipantTim,
http://www.zoombang.com I highly recommend the shirt. Critical zone in Grand Junction had them in stock when I needed them.
Sense I started wearing the shirt and my old ribtech the pain left.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantJust an observation from the couch.
First, if my Name had been included in some banquet thing to attend for doing the Rotax series then I would have been at the meeting.“2. You have to be a member of the CSC to run at a CSC event. That is, even if you show up for one event, you will be required to pay the $100 registration fee.”
Maybe an Andy claus should be considered?
Andy said,
“Schedule your Grand Junction round so it doesn’t conflict with a GATORZ or PKC race and I’ll bring half a dozen people. “A one time $100.00 registration fee to do just one or two of the races is a good way to keep great competitors away. IMO not a way to get a bunch of racers to make a single CSC race weekend a good place to try and attend.
Some of the best racing I had last year was when CSC and the rotax series raced together, yet scored separately. I hope that isn’t eliminated.
The list of ten things to make a great series had competitors in it 4 times.Congrats to the CSC for landing The God of Hell Fire for race director, now give me FIRE!

ParticipantJeff,
I wouldn’t change up much from what is ran in Denver on a cool day. The increase in altitude would call for smaller jetting while the cold temps make for better air or larger jetting , about canceling each other out. The nasty cold air and ice is your motors friend more so than 112 degree dry air of summer time racing.
Cold fuel is the choice even in the summer time. Just shake it up well. Increasing your oil ratio is leaning your fuel ratio. I don’t see the need to do that either.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantFrom the little experience I have, I saw the CRG axles go from $320.00 to $520.00 this year.
That’s a 62% increase not 7 or 20 percent.
I would be glad to loose 20 cents on my dollar and still make a 40% profit on top of the profit that was there to begin with. Something isn’t right.
How did Margay do in Race results this year?
At the Rotax Nationals, World Tag event and the SKUSA Nationals, where was the big Margay Team Tent at? I must have missed seeing it.Funny that the WKA 4 stroke speedway rules still have their #1 rule in their book that says, Only American made chassis allowed.
Then some of our rule makers for our sprint racing are working at making sure the cheap China karts aren’t allowed in competition.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantI would bet the new D2 tires will be in effect causing all of my used D1 tires to be even more worthless than before.
Other than getting to pay your own way to the Rotax Nationals, will there be an incentive for winning the Rotax Mile High Challenge next year?
How many spots in each class for this region will be available towards the Nationals?Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantJim, I would be glad to run your AR-50 the first or second segment.

ParticipantWe’ve gone away from chassis “expert’s” to power plants, I really feel the need for all the above, what a great choice of kart racing we have here.
Good pros and cons are being posted.
I think it would have been very spectacular to see a full field of 4 stroke tags blasting off to the first corner at the supernat race. Especially if the spec green fuel of Methanol was mysteriously powering the beast’s leaving a clear smoke free view for drivers, crews and fans.
Yep, with Brad and Jim doing a fine job at promoting and representing some of the best kart racing a racer would ever need and talk of “more and better” it makes it hard to narrow a choice down to one.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantI only can guess we don’t have any racers on here?

ParticipantJust got an email from Gary with extreme ice, the Loveland event center race will be back 1/19/08. For more details go to http://www.icespeedway.com
I have the winning kart from the last time the event was raced there if anyone is interested in a quick and ready to go setup.
Coloardo karters did a poor job marketing karting to the huge crowd in the stands last time this event came to our state. The time is here to get prepared, anyone interested?
Is there some Vampire owners interested in testing and forming a team effort? Also the mod animal fits well into this race format.
Sprint chassis’s can fit into wka speedway rules format too, so don’t let not having an offset kart to work with stop you from participating. In fact I am thinking my D tube GP with left front brakes and a Vampire is what I want to take the the checkers.
I have 1 degree temps up here this morning so the practice tracks are starting to take shape. Order up on the Silver Rocket racing studs, Gary’s stud and tire rules would probably be the best rules to follow if we wish to have some of our own wheel to wheel sprint coarse races with all motor packages.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantRicky Booby,
With possible 80’s in Vegas on my mind I may be a little frigid with them questions.
The care taker of The Trout club lake has shown lots of interest in using the lake for some karting fun.
As any caretaker of anything there is a lot of details to work out before a bunch of buds are making snow cones. As you see in that Ebay add, tires could be the biggest challenge in keeping it fun and fast.
The spike chain tires on a higher HP kart is nothing but dangerous, I like them best, but I should limit my own madness and at least look at other forms of ice racers and learn.
IMO the screws would be enough and safer for side by side racing, which I am most interested in rather than timed events with saw blades and spikes. That said it’s still an unkown as to what would be best. I have been utilizing a $13.00 6″snow blower tire as it has enough tread depth to screw into with out puncher’s. O well too much to type, tires suck in all seasons.
I have heard of a studded kart tire but haven’t found the source.
“Can anyone do it?” Rick, I am living proof anyone can do it.
I think I can I think I can I think I can……“Cold stick?” LOL, That’s what will probably happen to me the first run in Vegas. I don’t think my magic 55/2 will work at either place.
More air in cold air plus the thermal advantages of cold air intake, coupled with thin air @10,000ft. humm maybe the 55/2 would work.Rainbow Falls is another possibility, they clear the snow off all ready.
Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantYou can sure store it here in Grant Co. if you can’t find a place closer.
Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantJon you just need the right shoes for your kart. Go bid on em in the trailor storage post.
OOPs..E-bay always has the wrong wheels for use.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantLes, That is the ticket for traction. Are you going to bid on them? They have more rows of chain than my concrete nail tires. They are real heavy, I’d use 5/16″ hub studs instead of 1/4″.
I Know the cheese heads race with these tires, yet I really don’t think they would be safe for a group of karts on a ice racing coarse. Somebody would get tenderized.
Rick, My trailor got a new paint job, 10 years ago.
I see why them Vampires have stocker gas carbs now. Them Swedes are robbing their four strokes off their snow blowers too.
Beer gets a little hard in the ice pits, Little shooters keeps your motor warmer.Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantJon, I hope your not talking yourself into doing some big down hill air this winter?
