ParticipantI have someone who may be interested in helping the Csc with 5K – 10k to sponsor the Csc if needed. This party is interested in seeing the contribution benefit the series and participants. A kick start to help make the Csc the premier we are all striving for. He would require that I oversee the dispesrements of the money. and is possibly willing to help while we chase a large sponsor to buy the title of the Csc.
Of course, there are questions to answer. Who gets the money, how it will be spent, how it’s reconciled, potential exposure, possibly benefitting his companies.
He has been watching the forum and see’s the potential for a great place to get our “escape” and participate in a wholesome activity with our children and friends.
This is a possibility at this point.
Also, I’ve been thinking about a title sponsor. Does anyone have any contacts with any of the energy drink companies? Monster, Go Fast etc… I’ve seen some support at other types of racing. Maybe we could get them involved with a title sponsor for the Csc. The demographic is right in with their key market.
Anyone tight with a motorcyle shop? That could fall inline with what we do and could be a potential title sponsor. We may be able to recruit a tech inspector from one of these shops as well. I have two possibilities for an excellent motorcycle mechanic. One has some experience in shifter karts and is a service Manager in the biz. Maybe we could train someone for this. Kart specific tech should be learnable for one of these tech’s. They know 2 cycle engines well. Could cc, measure safety check etc… Maybe pay Dennis or one of the other top rung tech guys to train him. Not have to fly in a tech director would save the Csc a ton of money.
The Gm of Rpm Motorsports is intersted in talking with us as a title sponsor. We need to get a package together to present our series, what we need from them, what we can do for them. Any possible exposure that could be a value to them. I need help here. I’m a body man and custom painter?
Anyway. If some of you are strong in this type of thing, maybe we could sit down with the Csc priciples and drum up some support to propel this thing into the stratosphere!
Any thoughts or idea’s?
Rick

ParticipantI know somebody who knows people at Monster. I’ll touch base with him and see if there’s any possibility of sponsorship.

ParticipantGary Hunt, who helps GJMS, would be a great candidiate. This guy has been in and out of all types of 2 and 4 stroke engines. He used to own the Kawasaki dealership in GJ. Very knowlegeable, personable, and he is a racer! (racer is a term I use for those who are in the know. There is a difference between a racer and driver)

ParticipantGary would be a great Tech person, like Brian said very knowledgable, easy to get along with until you cross him and been around racing and motors his whole life.. I will talk to him and see if he has any interest…

A few additional things I forgot to mention.
1. TAG classes will run by TAGUSA rules, and we will follow any rule changes during the season that TAGUSA makes.
Does that mean no more front brakes for Sr. and Masters racers, or will it remain a local option?

ParticipantRick, that is awesome news about the sponsor! Way to beat the bushes. Your new name is ‘Bushmaster’.
Jansen, good to see you still have your sense of humor. Your hat size is WAY bigger than 9.5.

9.5 Motori head
If you are taller than the clown (6′) or are the clown. You have to run the 12 cc head.
Everyone else follows the Tag Usa rule book.
