    Freeze,

I concur maybe the words were harsh, thanks for your point of view. Again, we are all human and not perfect. Racing is racing and $#$@ happens. Let’s put it in the past and go forward.

I read a thread last night on Ekartingnews.com about a guy with 3 years of experience and he locked up around the sweeper at Pat’s Acres (Oregon) with a slower kart. It happens and EVERYONE learns a valuable lesson.

Ask me about the rental I tangled up with at IMI one day (who was a client of mine) :bang

Kudos to Danny at Gotcha Productions. Check out his link on this website. I have two photos he did last year and the work was outstanding. I told him what i wanted, he took photos and then i was instructed to go to his website and choose. A week later I had the photos and an invoice.

I would buy from him again, you should too. Not bad for a guy from Boulder 😆

    Ladies & Gentlemen:

There will always be a few “bad apples” that make us all pay the price. A few guys punting a fellow racer regaurdless of sex, age or creed is just people being stupid in the moment.

I do have to agree with Doug, make another class and hope we finish before darkness? I don’t think so.

Have we all forgotten the most obvious fact and that is that passing at Bandemere is a real $#@%% for even the best racers! I don’t think this will be as big an issue at Grand Junction or at IMI will it? Maybe the officials do need to be more aware but, IMHO, the offending pilots were shown a rolled black flag weren’t they? The officials are human beings and do sometimes make mistakes but not so in this incident. What has happened is in the past. I think with all the comments and feedback we ARE stiving to improve the series and racing, don’t you agree?

Now, let the officials do their job and we as karting pilots do ours. And ours is to drive and compete fairly. Punting in ANY class isn’t acceptable and I think we all realize that now if we didn’t already.

    Greg,

Thanks for the information! Chaz too!

Louden sounds wonderful. Enjoy the karting season there and make GP proud. You have a better chance than the Red Sox 😆

Keesling and I were bumping all the way around the track with me the worse of it. I’ll get him next time. It was pretty amazing seeing that many people there. I can only imagine what GJ and IMI will have for attendance. I know of several who skipped due to rough track conditions. They didn’t want to ruin equipment for the national racing series.

Give em hell out there, your still a Colorado Karter in my eyes.

    THAT WAS CHAZZ’S OLD KART?

We should have put an “s” on the side of the kart. Then we could have said, “look at that s car go!” :bang

Are you SURE he didn’t talk to Dennis about fuel additives?

Seriously, he drove his arse off.

    Chaz,

my transponder wasn’t working. How does one check to make sure it works? I don’ t want to go through that again. I wasn’t thrilled going out for 4 laps (with a clear track, while in qualifying there is traffic) to requalify.

However, it sure beats starting from the back of the pack!

    Great racing.

I think the guy who took 1st in TAG Sr was using some of Dennis Garwood’s illegal fuel :bang :walk . Kudo’s to the new guy in the class!

    LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

    Cowboy Up!!!

I checked the pilots weather briefing site and I am going out on a limb by saying that it is going to be more of the same Sunday as we have today. Low 60’s and cloudy. The barometric pressure is 30.00 and dropping. Meaning the front is going by and will be good for Sunday racing. Yea, going over a mountain pass with snow isn’t my idea of fun or safety so that is legitimate but us colorado karters should not have the same issue. The only issue you should have is how do I make my kart go faster

Hope to see you all there.
By the way, I called Las Vegas and they say the over under for the TAG class is 35 drivers. I’ll take the under.

Like Doug said wait 15 minutes and the weather will change!
For those of you with short memories the only race that will be run in the rain is Steamboat.

    Chaz,

Reagan good. Communism Bad. Oops, wrong President.

You need to read “When Character Was King” by Peggy Noonan or her other book “What I Saw at the Revolution”.

    OUCH!
My sponsorship deal with JOHN DEERE ran out at the end of last season so no more off track excursions.
I think my ribs were compromised due to sucking in that illegal octane booster that Garwood used when he was in front of me @ IMI :bang
As for wetting the bed, that is what DEPENDS are for!

Only one more week of smack and then it’s back to racing. Oh, that’s right Dennis will be READING about racing while he’s sweating in the southern humidity!!!

    Here’s my 2 cents:

I am 206 pounds and pulled (or broke) ribs on the left side of my body and then 6 weeks later I pulled (or broke) the right! All this at IMI! I have a Ribtech with a finger of slop when I sit in the seat and a nice vest. My problem I think is my upper body weight above the seat.

Here is what i did this winter and I haven’t had a problem since (and my wife thanks me for not grunting when i roll over in bed 😆 ) I took my rib vest to the glass store and they cut 1/8″ lexan strips (better than plexiglass) and sewed it to the outside of the rib vest. Haven’t had a problem since, even at Bandibumps. Holler when you’re at the track and I’ll show you. I am in seventh heaven now!

Saturday I’ll be there and talking to Jack Warrington he will be there too. Of course, we’re only lowly TAG pilots so you might not want to bother
    😀

    see you out there!
