If a location is a problem I have a 100 person capacity conference room in my office building that is empty most of the time. We would have carte blanche, all I need to do is reserve it.

The positive is plenty of room and it’s close to my house and office 😆

The negative is that I live and work in Longmont so it would be farther away than most of you would like (Angie and Rich Vito wouldn’t mind I imagine 😆 )

The more racers on the track the better the competition and better for the spectators. I too would rather race against 30 versus 5 or 6.

I agree with Jim. Age isn’t the issue but weight is. In the meantime though i like the thought of 20-30 of us roaring down the start finish line.

    Jeff,

Don’t know where you live but if you’re in the Denver area the two tracks are IMI and Action Karting. check the links and give em a call. Both are fabulous. Service is good and friendly. What I will say is that we have a VERY active state and for the most part, we’re all friendly and helpful. Local club races and the Colorado Sprint Championship series with many good pilots here. I would say welcome and you’ll have a good time here. Check out the posts in the forum and I think you’ll find a flavour of “Rocky Mountain Karting”

    Mark,

I haven’t heard Janny in ages!
Yea, the VIG is running that’s why i ask when you’ll be at IMI anytime soon or i’ll see you at the 1st CSC race (hopefully sooner since my balls are being busted 😛 )

    Chaz,

I’ll check out the composite. DID gold and Wipperman (Mark do you have a preference?) are both good and wear out at the same rate to me. I’ve got Bobby (@ IMI) finding out about gettting chain in 10′ sections I know Comet Karting sells it that way and figured bulk would be best for a season.

    Mike

PS Mark, too bad you’re not old enough to remember “TheProfessor”. Alan Prost was smooth AND fast. 😀 But then, you were just out of diapers at the time 😀 😉

Loren, Whenever you want to go out would be fine with me. I’m getting tired of riding the spinning bike at the gym 8)

Actually, i have no idea. All I know is i’ve got to put in testing time, conditioning time and less pie time if I am to have a chance at podium finishes next year! 😀

As Reagan said many moons ago, “there you go again” 😯

Happy Thanksgiving all. Chaz, you need to lay off the gravy and butter know what i mean… we want to be able to bust your balls about Lepurds etc, etc for a long time 😛

    Rich,
Thanks for reminding me for the same things.
This was my first season and I have to say for a first year event (CSC) you can’t help but be impressed. Thank you all (track owners, workers and volunteers)

I want to say a big thanks to all the people who answered my questions when i was going to IMI to use the rentals. I was impressed with everyone’s willingness to answer questions about thier rides, maintenance, basic setup and on and on. IT WAS BECAUSE OF THIS that I bought a kart and raced. You are all a great bunch of people. Sam Walls answered many a question for me when I was “thinking of buying a kart” and I thanked him many a time. His response is what makes me think our sport and it’s people are wonderful. He said, “when you have people ask you questions I hope you will be as courteous to them as I have been to you since the more people who are involved only makes Colorado Karting better.”

Angie, I don’t think we can thank you enough for putting together the best newsletter and website dedicated to karting I’ve seen, period.

I am looking forward to next season and I hope I can answer people’s questions about karting when they (hesitantly) mosey up to me and my kart at a track to show thier interest. I hope too that I can set a good example of sportsmanship and cometitiveness to the younger kids who look up to us.
