I was told that we may find you in a Leopard package in TaG senior!

ParticipantThat’s funny, I heard that too. How much does a Briggs TAG have to weigh? Any one have a rotax seal I can use on my Briggs? I hear it makes them run longer?

Well,
If you’re talking that Briggs you had up at Bandimere the other day, 500#.
We could get a Rotax seal from JS and slap it on there. That would be a scream. They say that seal is good for……is it 69 hours? Something like that anyway. Put some Rotax stickers on it and nobody will know the difference. You’d have to take the EGT off though. Rotax doesn’t allow that.
That pipe, though – that could be a problem. Those ‘Taxies’ are real quiet y’know. That Briggs sounds cooler than @#$% but it’s not very quiet. Maybe we could pass the whole thing off as some new prototype Rotax – call it an RM200-4c Mk1 “Aminale” (not misspelled). Some of those Rotaxians aren’t too bright. They’ll think it’s cool.

InactiveAs it turns out, I won’t be doing anything.
I’ve decided that it’s time to bag it/retire/quit.
Some weeks ago it became very clear that my general health wouldn’t permit me to race a kart again. The risks of more serious trouble than I’m already in are just far too great. Broken bones are one thing. A heart attack or stroke is another and that’s the risk.
I had thought about doing a team and had gone so far as to secure a driver of considerable talent. It became clear that in doing that I would create more trouble for myself than I cared to have to deal with – far more than any personal gains or satisfaction could justify.
So I’ve decided that’s it.
I may do some T/S at Bandimere, but I’ll be concentrating on other interests. I may show up at S-Boat – I want to hit Strawberry Park again and need an excuse for a long weekend. We’ll be seeing some of you around and others, not. But Thanks to all just the same. It’s been fun and it’s been real.

ParticipantChaz, we all will miss you around here. You are making the smart move not to risk your life for jollies in akart. Hope to see you around

ParticipantIntrepid Silverstone / Berryhill TM ICC for 2004 for me
do not know which class thoughDecember 29, 2003 at 8:08 pm #45329Anonymous
InactiveHey Marc, run in the pro class. It won’t do you any good to run in the novice class. You’ll learn more and become a better driver against the likes of Baily and Noud, not to mention the intermittent Rudolph or Wilson. We were going to enter Chris in the novice last year but his lap times would have killed the Nov’s and honestly he learned more running 5th to 10th in the pros.

ParticipantI have new karts coming for both Jeff and Greg. They will be running KGB with CRS power in the Pro 125 class. If we do a PMT, Jeff will do SP and Greg S1. Should be a fun year.

Participantwhy not, i do not think i would ever be a winner this year in pro, but i would learn a $#!^ load should be fun. i gues ill do it. Doug, thats great, this will be a good year with everyone running pro.
December 29, 2003 at 9:36 pm #45332Anonymous
InactiveMarc, really……arn’t we all winners? 🙄 🙄 When it comes right down to it I would rather race alot of good drivers and finish 2nd through whatever than beat up on a bunch of people who were newbies. I hope to be on a something kart with an ICC whatever tuned by whomever by the start of the season.

Participanti suppose you are right josh, it will be exciting with multiple national champions and all that, especially the numbers, no pro driver last year was slow, so it will be great fun
