    Richard,

Great post only one problem. If only 10 of the nicest get overlooked I will never be able to get away with anything. Oh well if they “the CSC” had well written rules that were inforced for all it wouldn’t make a difference. This is the main reason my son is not participating this year. I know you go to STARS races where it makes no difference at all who you are or how much money you make. The rules are in black and white as well as strictly enforced right down to sticker placement. The CSC would do well to send one or more of the powers that be to a STARS race to see how it is run.

Only one jr.1 class not three for 2007. Last but certainly not least a rule book written in black and white “not grey or downloaded from the internet” at least one month before start of racing season.

    YO MICHAEL,

Why have a forum then? If it is to be censored for what they “THE POWERS THAT BE” want us to see then no need for a forum. They can then just post all the good, wonderful, outstanding things the Colorado karting comunity is doing. Brainwash those individuals wanting that, but I for one like to see others opinions “including yours”.

    Mike,

No problem in singleing me out. I speak my mind out loud in print and in person. I do not think the CSC is a P.O.S. however I am very dissapointed at the direction it seems to be going. That is why my son is not racing in it this year. Last year was wonderful in my opinion even with some of the desicions I disagreed with. I did go to the pre season meeting so I do feel wronged by the decisions made behind the scenes. Am I upset with any one person in the CSC the answer is no. There is only one Track owner I have no use for and if I wouldn’t be arrested I would be more than willing to take care of him. I don’t think we have ever met in person if we have sorry I don’t recall it. I do speak my mind rather it is the popular opinion or not. On to my son everybody that knows him thinks he’s wonderful if Im so far out there how does that happen? I am a single and very proud parent to my son and as the saying goes the apple does not fall far from the tree. Yes racing is to be fun, but i would not waste my money racing if it was only the fun we were seeking.

    Angie,

Sorry if I got that age thing mixed up. I never recieved an answer if Brandon would be allowed to run if we bought a stock comer. Then seeing the proposed age group thought that the answer was a no since he is now 11.

For those wondering why so many motors. First off I have gotten some good deals along the way. Second I run my motors to the breaking point not just tuned good enough. Third when you go to a STARS race it would be foolish to not go with at least 4 motors. I know the next question 4 motors? YES! Here is why one to practice with friday. Two get sealed for Saturday racing, and If one blows up Saturday need two sealed for Sunday. It costs way to much in travel not to be 110% prepared. Even at our local CSC races last year I blew up 4 motors between practice the day before and race day. Even this year have lost one practicing. Two motors ruined from Tucson dust even with an air filter in the box. I also always have at least one motor at one of my builders being refreshed.

P.S. Stacey contact me on a price for a mini max. I may race some of the TRACKs races this year, But boycotting CSC. Maybe next year the powers that be may get there act together. I was at the pre-season meeting, and what was discussed sure isn’t how it ended up. This is a for profit organization as it should be, so the best way to show how I feel don’t feed the machine.

P.S.S. I noticed they even changed the age group for stock sealed comer after the season started coincidence??????????

Was planning on running Greely grand prix, but with the way the CSC has gone this year just can’t see supporting it. Will spend the money on those piece of crap blueprinted comers to run at STARS. Two weeks away from racing. Sure wish the CSC would get there act together! Only practicing here in Colorado and racing national events leaves me with extra money im not used too. This will be the first year racing that nothing is going on credit cards.

Yeah I would agree minin max is the way to go, but what do I do with all these legal “blueprinted motors”. Noticed the turnout was much better on the animal class this weekened, but whatis this deal with mod comer 80 is that a ported and polished motor? One stock k80? Last year there was far more blueprinted comers than are currently running in that class. What that says to me is it was not the money that kept competitors out but the rules or lack there of.

    Brian Moore,

P.S. Anyone with a used rotax jr motor or mini max motor for sale please contact me. I will plan to send it out for a refresh and even a new cylnder if needed. I just can’t see spending $2700 for a non shifter motor.

The rules are not well defined. That is the problem. I have no trouble following the rules when they are clearly spelled out. I am looking for a lot of clarification. Asking questions before there is a dq for something that is not written is the right way to approach racing prior to getting involed in it. If I read right there were only two comers and two animals at the first race? If that is the case who would want to race that class? Show up and either get a first or second place trophy. It looks like those two classes should be eliminated if participation does not increase. The mini-max may be the way to go especially with the track being involved with rotax max. Anyone have a mini max motor they want to sponsor my kid with? I have 11 blueprinted comers might be willing to work on an exchange.
