    Rick,

Obviously you can’t see the sarcasm. I don’t know all the drivers that went. So the fat American was a joke. However Americans as a whole are over induldged for the most part. I do not know Roman, so it was not directed at any one person. Being politically correct is not my style life is too short for that crap. I am a nice person thats why I can offer something to a person I don’t know. If someone makes an effort to do something I will help with positive reinforcement.

BLACK FLAGGED if passed by the leader? Oh no better not put that on here. Not fair they paid there money too. Not getting to race the whole race??? I won’t participate!! ha ha ha

P.S. Noticed they must not make allowances for fat American drivers is that true? Or did those lightweight drivers have to add lead?

    Spencer,

I will offer the brake system at the great price of “FREE”. There is only one condition I have. If you decide to build the kart it needs to be 75% complete before I will give the parts to you. The only reason there is a condition is that the parts are of value, and could be re-sold to someone that has a kart. I will also say good brakes are a necessity not an option. It does no good to go fast if you cannot stop.

If you build the kart I can help you with providing an Invader brake setup. That includes the master cylinder, caliper and disk.

Unlike the other hundred or so other racers we are there to be #1. As I said we do have fun even if my son dosen’t finish first, but yes that is the objective. Also if it was up to me we wouldn’t have any trophy’s all they do is collect dust in the corner of a room we don’t use. I would much rather have a gift certificate that would help with the racing budget.

    Brian Moore,

P.S to race two classes pit space four pit passes $190. If we were driving just for fun I could go to the track 5 days and practice for less than the $190. That did not include the cost of two new sets of tires I would have normally been out if we were racing in the points. Maybe if I was made of money like the other hundred or so karters we could race just for fun too.”yes I do realize most karters are not made of money” but it sounded good so couldn’t resist.

Exactly it is an opinion rather than bashing that you see this being. Even in Nascar they have a minimum speed to maintain otherwise the car is removed as well. If one of those cars on the track was lapped every ten laps it would be removed. In a 24 hour race I can definately see passing the same car many times, and yes thats a lot different than a ten lap race. Maybe I should have kept my thoughts and opinion to myself. I can also say that if my kid wasn’t up to speed in the class he was running I would not have him in the race. It costs too much money for me just to race for fun. Don’t read into that we are not enjoying ourselves on race day. We enjoy ourselves rather we finish first or last. If it’s just for fun then why are there points involved, and for that matter a finishing position?

Sorry to anybody I upset with this original post, but again it is an opinion.

Its ok that our opinions differ, and yes I can accept your point of view. At STARS they remove those that are about to be lapped before they play into the results of the race. I know that sounds harsh, but there is still plenty of passing going on with those not being lapped. This is not a perfect world, and I wish I had a good remedy that would please everyone. I want to see a class with at least 20 jr.1 karts with the same engine package. Whatever engine package those with the power choose.

P.S. Brandon had no trouble getting around the slower comers some were stock so it was essentially the same as Conner passing slower animals. Could not just press the go pedal on a straight to keep from being able to pass. Maybe the animals should have been racing with the mini max.

A blueprinted comer is still a slower less powerful engine than even a just pulled out of the box animal. Im not endorsing one engine package over another. All the engines have there own merits. I would never own a comer if we didn’t race other venues. The comer is a cement mixer motor that in my opinion is a piece of junk. However if you want to race at the national level in jr1 that is the choice for an engine. Im not sure if we are going to race in the CSC next year or not waiting to see rules etc. before I commit. Plan on racing STARS again, and see if we can improve from mid pack. Also looking at running a mini cup car. Not sure if my Son will enjoy turning left. My son has been offered a chance to drive one so only time will tell.

    Les,

Im sorry that you feel I am personally attacking you or your son. I am not targeting any one person by my comment. I agree Conner had less of a problem passing since he was driving an animal instead of a comer. In the comer there were two karts battling for second place. I would like to know when it would be appropriate to pass? If my Son or Colby Yardley were to wait to pass what do you think would happen? If you say wait till the long straight to pass all it would take is for the animal driver to press the gas and a comer has no chance whatsoever. I welcome any new driver to the wonderful world of karting. Do your kid and yourself a favor for next year practice as often as possible. There is no replacement for seat time. If your kid is running up front next year you too will see my perspective of passing slower non predictable drivers. Yes you are absolutely correct that CSC #9 race was the only race we went to this year in Colorado, and by the 9th race everyone should be up to speed. If we had been running for points like I said before I would have been livid instead of mildly upset. Since you brought up the fact that Conner had no trouble passing, ask his dad what goes on in his mind everytime his kid has to pass an unpredictable driver. I know you may not like what my post states, but what im willing to say in person or on here is also on others minds even though they may be to afraid or want to please everyone and not make any waves.

The k80s that you considered fast were driven by experienced drivers. The animal has at least a 3 hp advantage not to mention the torque difference. In years past they did mix the class with briggs flat heads, animals and the k80. If you had equal drivers with that mix of engines the smart dad would buy an animal. Notice that in years past this not so smart dad made his son compete using the k80 in the CSC.

Rulebook not enforced? What good is a rulebook if its not enforced? Hope to see the CSC get it right for 2007.

    Bill,

I was at the meeting at IMI before the racing season started. The way the CSC has gone is a far cry from what was talked about there. If there are written rules I am sorry for saying there isn’t. I was going on what I have heard from other karters racing in the CSC this year that say they do not have a black and white copy of the rules. Yes my son and I have been at two different tracks practicing and have talked to current CSC karters. We are not racing this year because of past practices, and lack of well written rules. Even last year there were problems with the comer 80 class at Bandimere, but was far better than the year before “ask Angie about that one”. I see this year as a return to the past for the CSC. I would love to participate in 2007, but sorry as well that I do not just go with the flow and look the other way.

    Brian Moore,

P.S. I know who you are talking about with the sticker problem. I was at that race as well. I know mistakes are made “even at stars”. I have seen within Colorado karting not only mistakes made but decisions made on favortism.

P.S.S. What can I do to help make the CSC better for 2007. This is not a joke, but a very serious question. So please don’t put just don’t show up Brian.

I think thats the point others leave it well enough alone no matter what. Overlook or ignore that seems to be the norm for Colorado karting.

    Brian Moore

P.S. This is not bashing. I call it like I see it. Will be at the track on the 15th to practice would be more than happy to field any and all questions from anyone.
