George you are mistaken obviously my contact with I.K.F. , and the incident with the Egan Boy where he flipped upside down caused them to think twice about having your track sanctioned by them. I also have letters from Art V. and the President of I.K.F if any of you want to see them. Some of you already have especially those of you that have been to George’s track. Mitch find out the facts first it would save you embarrasment.

George may be WKA sanctioned, however he had only one class following their rules last year. I do not believe he applied for local option which means if someone gets hurt his insurance does not cover the event. It is the reason IKF GOT RID OF HIM !!!!!

I had zero problems contacting I.K.F. when my son used to race at CRE. There is a good reason that “KING GEORGE” is now with WKA. IKF dropped him for not running by their rules, and not applying to use local option. Even if he had applied to use local option IKF informed me they would not approved what he was running. In fact if someone would like me to see just how easy it is to become a IKF or WKA sanctioned track I volunteer to contact and get the information. I have the president of I.K.F.’s home and personnal cell phone number at hand.

Brad to answer your question about how can it be cheaper. Here it is two full race days with more laps, and a full practice day $175.00 at Stars of Karting. They also tech two items at random on the kart after qual, pre-final, final on the top 5 in each. The only thing that makes it more expensive is the travel and missing days of work. They even provide a schedule and they adhere to it. Smoothly run and if your cheating you will get caught no ifs ands or butts.

Im in too! Gladly pay the money for a real set of rules! Brad I don’t understand your thinking that it will cost us racers more. The only thing more expensive when it comes to racing a National event is the travel expenses, and missing the days of work. It costs far less to race a weekend of Stars then it does to race here. Is it maybe that greed and control are getting in the way of decision making?

We can’t use there rules in print? Then what do you call what the C S C did last year they used other sanctioning bodies rules with exceptions etc. . That is no different then what “KING GEORGE” does with wka’s rules and makes it a local option. Yes CRE is paying to use national rules, and absolutly no clue as to why “KING GEORGE” feels like he needs to change them. Maybe the same reasons the track owners in Denver and Grand Junction change the rules. To promote track loyalty and the dumping of money on parts and pieces you cannot use out of state let alone from CRE to the CSC and vice-versa. The only difference I can see is that if the rules are in print everyone will have a copy to reference off of. If your worried about a lawsuit the sanctioning bodies would already have enough evidence to come after the CSC. This site as well as the newsletter says we are using their rules with exceptions.

My point exactly. Outlaw or whatever you want to call the rules here in Colorado cost those of us that race national events added expenses, more testing, and no rule book which to go by. If you want to say download the rules and you will have them thats false. Exceptions keep getting made to those rules here in wonderful Colorado. I for one would like to see Jr1 motors and karts run by national rules, and with a kid in that class my vote should count for more than someone without a kid in that class!!! If there are no rules in black and white for this upcoming season you can count on us not being part of that “outlaw” racing. As far as the Biland issue goes how could they find them illegal, from what I read Brad Linkus is the only one capable of teching a Biland. Wow sounds like a sure way to cheat since no one else is smart enough or have the tools to tech.

Freezman are you kidding? I sure hope so. The outlaw and rules applying to some and not others is going to be the death of this sport in Colorado if it continues!!!!

I Personally like the choices for the classes looks like we will be buying another kart. I just have one request since we are running comers seperately PLEASE make the weight of kart and driver 235 lbs. so that any of us that race stars events won’t have to scale our karts for weight placements. Adding or taking off a pound or two is no big deal, but fifteen to twenty is. I am also pleased to see mini max as the only engine in the tag cadet class. Lets keep the motor war down. I like a level playing field. ONE engine one driver= level playing field.

Boy my son is going to be tired running three classes,

Sorry Don, but I have to disagree with you. I went through three comers, and one animal in jr1 between just practicing, two club races, and the CSC. The most reliable engine I have run has been the 60, and 80 shifter in the novice class. I did not even replace a ring on the piston, and nothing blew up. I would love to see the mini max become a class those rotax motors de-tuned would have to be super reliable. Not only would they be reliable, but for people like me having a sealed motor there would be the assurance that I am running a legal motor.

Another thought on jr1. Run same three engine packages as last year bump the weight up to 240 for the comer and allow open carb, and the open clutch and pipe like last year. leave internals to WKA spec that way i can still run my motors at STARS.

P.S. If you or your kid is not involved in a class I do not think you should be allowed to input your suggestions for that class!!! Let the people with something to lose or gain make those decisions.
