InactiveIs the Tag Jr going to be all restricted as per SKUSA / TAGUSA rules. Will it use the same weights as those rules?

ParticipantTo add some detail to Ben’s question, is the stock moto the only engine in 125 Novice, or will it be scored separately, or just weighted differently?

We eliminated one class, added one class, and split one class which won’t add any track time.
Taylor, we had 13 last year. All that makes it 14 this year is by scoring the Comers seperately from the Animals and Briggs in the Junior 1 – which were already running on the track together. One more set of trophies, No additional track time. We will be combining other classes as appropriate, and are standardizing the race day procedure to keep the race days consistent and smooth.
Relax!! 😛

ParticipantSo….Motos and ICC’s run together…..but ICC’s run a little heavier for 125 novice?

ParticipantRunning the TAG Sr and Master group together is a bad idea! Running the TAG Jr with the TAG Master has been shown to be a bad idea! Running the TAG Sr with the TAG Jr is a bad idea!
You guys are underestimating the amount of turnout for each group. If I recall, TAG Master had the largest average turnout, or equal to any other class, for any CSC class. TAG Sr was also right up there with regards to turnout. Just base it on numbers, it becomes very simple!
Also, the TAG Master group deserves, predicated on last years turnout, at least a 20 lap heat and Main. The racing is fun, close, competitive, and interesting to watch.
Furthermore, why wouldn’t you simply get rid of the Semi pro class? They averaged a whopping 2 drivers per event in the CSC. In Three of the seven CSC race event, they had 0 drivers. What’s up with that? Just because it says Semi-Pro and shifter it should be included????

ParticipantIMHO this is what i think of the classes…..
Shifter classes are good, like last year, leave them the same just let the stock motos run novice at a low weight.
Jr 1 4 and 2 cylce is fine by me as long as they always run together.
TaG cadet might not workout, but we will see. Possibly run this with TaG JR as is they both are not all that big in size most likely.
Everything else looks great, especially the Comer idea. For the rules in pro 125 let it be open tire please, with iccs running 30 mm carbs, no PI boxes on iccs, and open motos. LEt iccs weigh at 385 and motos at 375. I think that will work great. Thank you and good work.December 9, 2004 at 2:11 am #49095Anonymous
InactiveI’ll put in my two cents worth, DONT run the tag seniors and tag masters together that will put to many carts on the track and that would be very bad at the smaller tracks. The two classes have a very large turnout and next year it will probably be bigger

InactiveAng,
I like it! Nice job in getting the info out quick this year. Now with the tech and rules to follow we have a nice start to the year. After the rules come out will you then discuss events and schedule?
This schedule of classes should accomodate the majority and keep everyone somewhat happy without having the race day longer.
Thanks again for all your efforts in this sport, because of them, I believe next year will even be better and this series will continue to grow.
Thanks to all the others that have continued to communicate and work together to make this one of the top venues in the country…
Now my two cents, again like last year I feel it is important to have at least one drop maybe more depending on how many races will be on the schedule. I know it is difficult for the west slopers to make it to all of the races on this side of the divide and people have lives outside the sport. Not to mention a host of other issues (like blown up motors that can’t be replaced in time) and it is nice to have the option not to run a particular race and still be in contention in the points standings.
Just my humble opinions

ParticipantI Personally like the choices for the classes looks like we will be buying another kart. I just have one request since we are running comers seperately PLEASE make the weight of kart and driver 235 lbs. so that any of us that race stars events won’t have to scale our karts for weight placements. Adding or taking off a pound or two is no big deal, but fifteen to twenty is. I am also pleased to see mini max as the only engine in the tag cadet class. Lets keep the motor war down. I like a level playing field. ONE engine one driver= level playing field.
Boy my son is going to be tired running three classes,

Tom,
There are several drivers running the Semi-Pro Class this upcoming year. I believe there are 8 drivers certain and several pending. The class also ran with another group, either Pro125 or Novice 125, so it added no time to the events. Hopefully the rules package will be further from the Novice rules and closer to the Pro125 rules.

ParticipantPlease do not run Pro 125 with anyone else, the speed difference is too great and usually the pro class is the larget (i think was at everone the biggest). Put s2 with g1 since times will be simmilar
