ParticipantI made two posts today that had no foul language or sexual conotations, and both posts were deleted. In China the goverment decides what individuals are allowed to see. Is that what this site has become? I would like to know if it’s because the power’s that be in the CSC are hiding something? Still glad we are not part of the CSC this year. Earlier I was sad we were not racing here. Now im very thankful.

InactiveYo, Hotwheels!
The Colorado Karter isn’t like China. If it was, you would be:
a. In prison without any rights at all.
b. Run over by a tank and washed down the drain.
c. Removed from existence.China is a State that does not believe in human or civil rights. On the other hand, The Colorado Karter is a private business. It exists to promote karting within the state of Colorado along with the CSC. The majority of the your posts on this site does just the opposite, demotes karting and demeans the majority of track owners and race support personnel.
I believe that we all agreed to abide by the terms set forth by owners of this website. This is privately owned and operated and they have the right to administer this forum any way they want to. If you don’t like their decisions, please quit the forum.

ParticipantYO MICHAEL,
Why have a forum then? If it is to be censored for what they “THE POWERS THAT BE” want us to see then no need for a forum. They can then just post all the good, wonderful, outstanding things the Colorado karting comunity is doing. Brainwash those individuals wanting that, but I for one like to see others opinions “including yours”.

Participanthotwheels,
your not allowed to talk or think about this subject, or any other subject for that matter without it being in the acceptable list, having it approved, and edited before posting. I saw the post, but have forced myself to forget everything related. What do you mean China? I don’t see no tanks…
p.s. Thanks for the help at the track!
I’m off to go drink some coolaid now 😯

ParticipantMy Opinion and Observation:
Fallout from the first CSC race @ GJ, due to people running onto the track when their kids wreck (I don’t see that in any other form of racing and NO it is NOT acceptable, sorry parents), CSC director and track owners have heated exchange and there are (still) residual feelings from it.
Now, is rehashing that REALLY WORTH OUR TIME??? Again, it’s not a Jerry Springer show and do we really need to know? I think if you ask the racers at the race they’ll say it was fun time in Grand Junction and the racing was good as always.
Remember this and I’ll reiterate what someone’s already said: This is a forum from a private individual and they can do what they see fit FOR THE BETTER OF COLORADO KARTING. If you really feel like you need to SLAM karters then feel free to start your own blog. There is a difference between freedom of speech and excersizing the “I dont’ need to hear it rants”.
And I for one have to agree. Looking forward to racing in a few weeks at the new facility!

Ok, I’ve been scratching my head over this one – bounced around the site to see if there is anything listed as to what I agree to… maybe it was when I first signed up, I really don’t remember. Where are the rules for this site? Seriously, where is the mission statement / policys for discussion here. So far I’ve thought it was a pretty cool local site to exchange ideas / info / gripes / whatever – kind of thought of it as a place I could talk to others like I would at any track – is that not so?
And just for my understanding, who besides Angie, are the owners of this site?

ParticipantWow, I don’t know where to start. Well, first thank you to those who came to my defense. Most of you know why I started this site, and know that I do not take deleting posts lightly.
Now, the most recent post…
Brian, even back when you signed up, there was still something you agreed to. It may be more specific now, or harsher even, but it was there.
There were posts deleted over the weekend…. and they did have to do with the CSC and the race going on in GJ. I was not able to monitor the site all weekend, and authorized somebody else (blink) to delete any posts that were potentially harmful to the CSC and the race activities going on in Grand Junction. Some of you may not agree with me doing that, but it is my site (I am the sole owner). I may not like what everybody posts on here, but I have not made a habit out of deleting posts just because I don’t agree with what it says. But when the majority of people that would be on the defensive side of the discussion are at the track and not monitoring the website (including me), I decided it would be only fair to table the discussion until both sides could read and respond.
Since it was Rusty who started the thread that was deleted, it may have sounded like an “official” CSC post. It was not “official” and it was causing some confusion. The race was not in jeopardy of losing its series status, and that is the way the original post came across.
Rusty, I did authorize Brad to delete your post and the rest of the thread. I did not even have him read it to me first. I am sorry if you think that was uncalled for, but it is the decision I made.
To all, I do apologize for any frustration or confusion that the posting and removal of the posts may have caused. I did not want to have to worry about what was being posted on here every minute of the weekend, so blink’s admin capabilities were ON during that time. I sure hope this doesn’t happen every time I leave my computer for a day or more – Guess I have to get a moderator to cover my back. (Michaela volunteered I believe!) or maybe I just lock the forum whenever I am away.
Rusty, if you really want to discuss this topic on this forum, by all means please post your concerns. It would really be better to discuss it with the “powers that be” first. I am arranging a conference call for (hopefully) later this week. And for those of you wondering, that would be me as facilitator on a call with the owner/operators of the four tracks that participate in the CSC. And as a side note… As a person that is working in a capacity of an official, or representative of the CSC, you really should be careful what you say or write about the organization in public.
I think I have done a reasonable job keeping the forum going in the right direction. Some of you may not think so, and you are welcome to leave at any time if you don’t agree with what I have done or not done.

ParticipantDerek,
If you are not apart of the the solution. Well, you know the rest.
I like you and your son. Do not poision him!!!!( I am not trying to tell you how to raise your child) Just because this is not to your vision, deal with it. You will do your son and hopefully yourself, that this is reality of LIFE, and if you want to have fun ANYWHERE, you have play be the rules.
My frienship and door is available to you and your son. Contact Bobby, Brad, Angie, Jim K, JB, Curt K, Rusty, AJ Noud, Stacey ,Darren Barry ,Trent …email me offline if you want to vent. I know a place that is as close to IN and OUT BURGER in Parker, that you’ll ever know. :sun:
Love to speak w/you and your son face. These are my opinions, not those that reflect the views of anyone else. If they have a problem, as we say in Jamaica(NO Problem, mon) :cheers:Irie,

ParticipantGary,
There are a couple of reasons that applies.
One. When an individual is known as an official, representative, contract employee, etc. of an organization, then anything that person writes or says COULD be taken to be an official announcement. I TRY (maybe not as good as I should, too) to be specific when something I post is official information or if it is my opinion.
Two. You just really shouldn’t be saying anything negative about an organization while you are still a representative of that organization.
As an example: If I am not mistaken, in business practice, employees often sign agreements to that effect when they are hired. You agree not to give away any company secrets OR bad mouth the company you are hired on with.-Angie
by the way, this post is my personal opinion and not an official CSC responseJuly 4, 2006 at 8:52 pm #54228stacey cook
ParticipantHey everyone let’s not blow this thing out of proportion.. Angie and Brad did the right thing by deleting all posts (which I never did see) until we can all talk peacefully this week. Everything is fine within the CSC, people are not always going to agree and get along which happens in every organization from time to time..
Bottom line is that we do all this for FUN and should all keep that in mind.. Angie works very hard on this website and we should all respect and appreciate what she does, without her were would we be?
