Congrats Buddy. We can’t begin to tell you how important you have been in helping Colby mature as a racer and young boy. You are a great mentor and friend. You and your dad are what make kart racing a truely enjoyable experience. Best of luck in all your big racing endeavors. You have our TOTAL support. Please keep us posted on how you’re doing!!

Thank you for taking the lead and making this happen!! This will be a great opportunity to promote unity and share knowlege for a very successful start to the 2007 racing season. You can count on us to make a generous contribution in off-setting Rusty’s expense. For planning purposes, David, Marland and I plan to be there.

Please send an input whether you ran the CSC or not. Obviously, the future of Colorado Karting goes beyond one intra-state series. Just our belief. Our input included:
– Deconflict rules by adopting one sanctioning body for all tracks, to include club races. We recommended WKA.
– Like class structures, spec fuel and one tire for all tracks or approve open tire rule for all tracks.
– One CSC race at each track, include CRE.
– Reduce number of classes in CSC by dropping Kid Kart, Jr Animal and all novice shifter classes to club events.
OK, now we have commited political suicide. Oh well, it’s just an input/recommendation!!!

Colby Meek, the 2005 WKA CSSC Jr 1 Colorado State Champion will be participating in the K80 Challenge this weekend as well. This is a great opportunity to see how our local driver measures up with the National Champion.

ParticipantI couldn’t agree more. We had a great time at The Track!!!
Great job by the corner workers as well keeping the track clear and on top of the faster guys coming through. I actually saw a move-over flag as Greg came by. Yeah! we got some work to do!!!
Looking forward to the CSC race on 8 Oct.
Hey if we have an open class, think I’ll strap on dual alky Sudans!!! That’s really old school, yesssssss ………………………….
Cheers!!

An organizational meeting, YES! and before the holidays.
Agenda items:
1. One sanctioning body, WKA, TAG USA, IKF, pick one and let’s go with.
2. Like class structures.
3. Cooperative track schedules.
4. One CSC race at each track.
5. More support for the JDD series/program.
6. Solid tech program independent of shop/track owners and CSC leadership.
Not all inclusive, just a start in promoting the sport and making life easier on all concerned. Include me in the planning and organization. I would be happy to help in anyway I can. Good post by Jim (The Track), see Winners everyday!

Although I am new to Colorado karting and a rookie Rotax racer, I agree with all points you suggest for the 2007 race season.

You are absolutely right. Issues should be resolved off line one on one in private. Thanks for all you and your family are doing to promote the sport we all love.

Thanks for covering the tech update/response. You are spot on. George tells us today he’s getting info out tonight on the schedule for Sat.
As you might imagine, this week has been very busy getting the track and CRE Family ready for opening day. Again, thanks for sharing the WKA/RMC tech info. See you this weekend. Happy Easter to ALL!

Looking forward to seeing all the support from “the north” Sat. at CRE. You all are always welcome and we accept the challenge.
We spent most of the day today repainting the grid, scale house and installing a new P.A. system. More to follow on the schedule of events for this Sat. coming from George.
