Great feedback, all points. Safety must be #1, ALWAYS. As a fellow Colorado Karter, in my humble opinion, this is the kind of feedback and/or lessons learned that can help improve all programs/series. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Respectfully,
Eddy

ParticipantAbsolutely. Thank you ALL. Race #1 in the books. It’s only going to get better. GJMS next 11/12 June. Good racing yesterday with lots of folks cheering their favorite drivers. :co

Met with Craig and others yesterday at IMI. Things are being finalized in preps for race #1, next weekend. If you have not pre-registered yet, please do so soon. Pit spots are going fast.
Have a Great weekend,
Eddy

ParticipantUpdate. Based on my phone conversation with Craig this morning, it’s not a done deal on race tire purchases. One may be required to buy them at the track during the race weekend or through the online registration. Craig will post the purchase requirements for race tires soon. Thanks to all for your patience.
Eddy Wyatt
ParticipantYes Jeremy, they are going to be tracked. You can buy as many practice tires as you want from anybody you want. If you are still running under the Karting Coach tent Mike can help you. As a 206 racer, you will simply be required to buy a minimum of one set of race day tires, with the option of online registration which will support the series tracks. Or you can buy race tires directly from a CSC Series track and keep your bill of sale/invoice. That is my understanding.
You’ll need to call Craig about the track selection for the series.

Will this also apply to the LO206 class?
Yes, race tires only, however, you are not required to buy a new set for every race, only the first one you enter. This will all be easier to understand once the CSC website comes up with online race registration. For you Richard, if you bought yours from GJMS, you should be good as you know GJMS is a CSC Series Track.

ParticipantNo don’t believe so, not in the 206 application. What I am suggesting, based on our experience they seem to perform more even or consistent after one heat cycle. Scuffs or brand new, what ever your personal preference.

ParticipantMy experience is in addition to the great grip and wear, the performance does not drop off as they get more use. However, I do recommend getting a minimum of one heat cycle (practice session) in before qualifying and going racing.
Eddy Wyatt
ParticipantNo, you do not need to buy new MG Reds for each race. Once the CSC online registration comes up, we plan on buying one set at the first race of the season and running them all year. :rotate:
Craig told us today the CSC website could be up before the end of the week.

ParticipantWOW! could this be true?

ParticipantAll good pilots, wishing them the best…… :wave :co

ParticipantRichard and anyone interested
All the Kart shops and tuners will have some basic info, i.e. chassis set-ups, gearing, tire pressures and wear data on any tire, to include MG Reds, for any track in Colorado. Call them and give them some business. Most will, for a small fee, scale your kart as well, which I highly recommend, no matter what tire your running.
Good Luck…
Respectfully,
Eddy
