ParticipantCraig,
When you say fuel and tires will be purchased at the track, do you mean must be purchased at the track? If so, is it part of the race entry fee?
Regards,
Dave

Does this include LO206 gas too? As I remember you could get gas at Centennial. Or should we come prepared with fuel on hand.

Participant:co The entry form will have the ability to select tires and fuels for each race and will be online very soon.
The fuel for adult LO206 classes will be Shell V 91 so fuel checks can be done.
The kid kart classes will run the spec fuel of CJKC.Craig Mansfield

303 242 2929You say that we have the “ability” but I think the question was is it “required” to obtain fuel and tires through the online form. I also asked if it was required for LO206 to get the gas at the track or if I could just bring my own tires and fuel.

ParticipantSounds like you can bring your own fuel as long as it is Shell V91. Not sure on the tires, but sounds like you can either buy them at the track or bring your own.

ParticipantI was able to speak to Craig in person. Tires are required to be bought at the race. Fuel for the LO206 can be bought at any Shell station that sells V91.

ParticipantWell that stinks. Hope you don’t have to buy them for each weekend. If so, we won’t be running the series.

ParticipantNo, you do not need to buy new MG Reds for each race. Once the CSC online registration comes up, we plan on buying one set at the first race of the season and running them all year. :rotate:
Craig told us today the CSC website could be up before the end of the week.

ParticipantThanks Eddy, the way I phrased that it did sound like it was required for each race. Thanks for correcting. Now, does these Reds last that long and are they still quick as when you first got them?

ParticipantMy experience is in addition to the great grip and wear, the performance does not drop off as they get more use. However, I do recommend getting a minimum of one heat cycle (practice session) in before qualifying and going racing.

So they are not faster brand new?

ParticipantNo don’t believe so, not in the 206 application. What I am suggesting, based on our experience they seem to perform more even or consistent after one heat cycle. Scuffs or brand new, what ever your personal preference.

ParticipantLet’s hope they stand up to the heat of summer and lots of running. I guess we will see how they run. Looking forward to racing!

ParticipantI just ran a sticker set today. They are slick as grease the 1st few laps. After 4 10 lap sessions turned a 66.85 second lap clockwise at gjms. Very little wear on them after this too. I think they will be good.

ParticipantI’m confused on the tire question. Can we buy our race tires from either the shops or the tracks or do we have to buy them from the tracks exclusively? I asked this question very specifically at the meeting and the answer was that we could buy them from either. I thought it was a good answer because it allows the racers to support both the shops and tracks – a good thing. Reading this, it appears that something has changed. Regardless, I don’t want to end up buying four sets of tires for the first round of the CSC… Maybe I misread it though… wouldn’t be the first time.
Craig, can you clarify this?
