    Jon,
We will be there from noon on thru the night. Most of us will be around most of the time setting things up and making sure the kegs are well iced.

We will have pit spots well marked and identified prior to everyone moving in. No karts will be allowed on the track surface until Friday at 8am. Then every 7 minutes throughout the day controlled practice will begin. There will be corner workers, rescue vehicles, food, drinks, music, open scales, pre-tech, a banquet facility to rest and get out of the elements, roof top views 12 stories high with fantastic views of Pikes Peak and many other fun things to do.
PPIR will also be hosting a superbike race on the infield that weekend so you can even check them out and see what they are all about.

You never know who you will bump into just hanging out as well. All I can say is, bring a sharpie 8)

    Eddy,
Here you go. Ours will be the same but with our logo. Hope this helps. Thanks for being proactive

    Ricky,
I hope your mom is doing better. We will continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Falcone beat my @$$ there today pretty bad. On my birthday to boot! No grip is right, but that is just the way you want it for this type of racing. The league racing will be very cool and a good way to stay in shape, no matter what that darn Mother Nature is dishing out.

My arms have felt like rubber all afternoon!

I will put my times up against any other 58 year old, 225lb, tuner. Any takers? (Doug?) (Bradley?) (Barry?) (Mark?)………

Jansen a no show for the infield.

Jansen doing both SKUSA and Centennial Series. That’s only 8 races, the same as there used to be in the CSC back in the day. I do have to call Kistler to find out are we using the same set of tires in SKUSA for both Saturday and Sunday.

I’m (not) getting excited yet. Too darn cold outside and the kart is in pieces in the garage (for now)

All the answers, to all your questions can be found in the SKUSA Rule Book on our website: http://www.skusamr.com

If there is anything specific to your questions that is not clear, please email us there.

    Thanks,

    What a bummer I can’t be there.

We missed you Booby, and I hope you are starting to feel better again. You must be getting sick and tired of being sick and tired.
    Get well soon buddy!

    Saturday Update:
Once again the Skylark Lounge hosted a group of Colorado Karters and the facility was top notch. It was great seeing Bob Reed healthy and back to his old self laughing it up and bench racing with his old buds. We all need to keep Rich in our thoughts and prayers as he is not in the best of shape. He has been having some rough times lately and we hope he can get back to where he was just a few short weeks ago. Gayle is standing by his side and Rich has many friends and loved ones continueing to pray for his recovery.
We introduced the SKUSAMR team with the exception of Sam who is out of the country, and Angie who was performing her scoring & timing magic at a SKUSA NorCal event in Sonoma CA. We had a good turnout and a good mix of current & future SKUSAMR members, along with the curious who have not decided on just what they are doing this year.
We discussed our schedule and displayed large drawings of the PPIR track layout. We have been answering many questions about the PPIR track, facility, garages, power hook-ups and other amentities the facility will offer on our (2) scheduled events there. As far as the schedule goes, we continue to field questions about “why Mothers & Fathers day”? It’s very simple and has everything to do with local and national schedules, coupled with availability at the facilities we are racing. We have mothers too and we wish we could have changed things up, but we simply had very few options. I will say this, we have registration data dating back to 2002, and this will not be the first time Colorado has raced on Mothers Day. However, it will be the first Mothers Day race with the pampering we are going to provide to you mothers. More to follow and be announced very soon.
We also discussed how race day will look concerning the schedule of events, safety, tech, track workers, running on the clock system, flagging, scales, our announcer and everything else you can expect from a Regional event.
We answered questions about points acquired in the Region, and points acquired from the National events. How these points will count towords Vegas vs Regional Championships.
We also handed out lot’s of free SKUSA swag and everyone walked out of there with shirts, hats, hoodies, posters and magazines. Thanks to Tom and AJ for filling the goodie box, and thanks the Cris for providing what Tony said was the best pizza he ever ate.

I can go on forever, but that is the readers digest version of how we spent our two hours. If there are specific questions, or you need additional information pertaining to our region, please do not hesitate to contact any of us. Or simply shoot me a PM. We look forward to seeing everyone in May at PPIR. I personally promise you a great run event with by far the fastest racing ever wittnessed in CO.

PPIR will be having a karting open house on March 6th if anyone is interested in standing on the infield and taking in the sights. More information real soon.

    Thank You,
    Curt Kistler

Jim has all of his rules up on his site @ http://www.thetrack.us/index.php?s=53
    page #20.

I am not sure if there will be any weight changes to their program classes so you may want to call him. The SKUSA weight changes were made after several tests were conducted to make every attempt at a level playing field for all the different motor packages out there. I hope this clarifies your questions and concerns.

You just missed some great deals put out there by Rob at Aluminos Karting. AJ at Rocky Mountain Kartworks should have some good deals going on all the time.

    Charles,
You are going to have at least (4) more S4’s to race with next summer. Better stay in top shape, some of these guys are pretty fast….

Thanks for keeping us updated Gayle. It’s awesome that you take the time to keep us posted on Rich’s situation despite all the other things weighing on you right now.

Somebody had asked in another thread if there were any particular places which we could pick up gift card for you and Rich. If you can think of any off the top of your head that would be great.

Keep your head up and Merry Christmas to you and Rich.

    Doug,
    Gayle’s address is:
    835 Kane Dr. #25
    Longmont 80501

A few of us have sent her gift cards, and Charles is standing by with a TV for the new room when the time comes. Gayle can always use some kind words, thoughts and of course prayers if ever anyone wants to drop something in the mail. I am sure Rich would love to have visitors as well. The more we stimulate his memory, hopefully, the better he gets. He has come a long way, but still has an incredible journey ahead.

Thanks to everyone who has helped this family. That goes from Coast-to-Coast, Track Owners, Shop Owners and of course our stronghold of local racers who really do care about each other.

    Merry Christmas,
    Curt
