ParticipantRich,
If the meeting is on the South side you wont come? You will need to have your work bench built by then. No excuses from you!Stacey,
Give me a date that will work. You are a very key player on the panel to answer questions, and we need you there.Owl,
We look forward to meeting you as well. Your recent post was spot on for many of the topics we will be discussing. I heard many great comments about your post at Bandi last Sunday. Thanks Jay,
I will be in touch. After I hit the send button yesterday I came to grips as to what I just commited to. This will take much effort, but it will happen and be a positive step in the right direction.Keep the comments and RSVP’s coming please.

ParticipantBill,
You just need to hang 50# on the seat, and get some negitive castor in her, and we will bring the seat insert. 😛Just :bs: ing here. Can’t wait to see the “Secret Weapon” at The Track.
Congratulations Kyle, if my math is correct, you are the MAN in 2006!
Just think how fast you would have been on one of those black chassis’ I keep reading about!

ParticipantWe would love to race in it if necessary, but, that call was made at the start of the season with the GGP getting the only rain nod. Too bad, with our points race it would have been very fun, and interesting.
Sunday should bring good weather in the AM, and scattered showers in the afternoon. Tomorrow practice will be 50-50 all day, so get on the track when you can, if you can. I am sure renters will be out too.

ParticipantThis can go on for days, weeks, months…..
The CSC needs to have a clear defination and business plan as to who they are, who they represent, what the classes are, and who’s rules are being enforced. Then they need to develop a team of folks who will stand united and can represent the CSC. Until that happens the prisoners will be running the camp.
Angie has done a wonderful job in creating the CSC as we have all known it to be. It has grown to become one of the strongest series in the US as Doug has stated. Things change however. The downside to our changes have been to add way too many classes, too many races making it hard to race every event, and to allow the seat time necessary to increase all of the drivers and tuners skills and abilities.
The CSC needs to continue to grow and allow the Colorado/Utah based regional racers a platform to better hone their skills to head out onto the PRO Tour somewhere, or be able to compete at the National level. This cannot be accomplished with allowing club classes, newbees, or 6-9 year old drivers to race in this series.
I look forward to seeing Jim’s next post as to his classes, schedule and rules. This is where a good run club series will allow for the Jr’s, newbees and recreational karters to go on Saturday and Sunday and run. IMI has always had a great club series and great year-end awards to those who participate in their series. It has allowed many of us the chance to go to the next level which is the Regional level. The CSC level.
It’s pretty basic stuff. I would be more than happy to put up the “neutral ground” for a discussion, however, if it is over attended and not represented by people like Angie, Rusty, Dennis and the Track Owners, it will be worthless. The meeting will also need a moderator to keep it on topic and on schedule. We have the two races left to have some discussion and time to create the guest list. The meeting should be set around 10-21 while this season is still fresh and still in our minds. And over.
Like my buddy Mikey said, Get It Done! BTW, he needs to be on the list too. And he needs to be assigned the “Bouncer” position at the meeting.

ParticipantNot at the office. I’m in France driving Jag’s knucklehead. Who needs to work with a kid like mine? I just spend all day trying to spend all the money he makes racing. :bs:

ParticipantBrian,
There has been many discussions as to when, where, rules, classes, format, activities, sponsors, community involvment, karter involvment, streets, park, yadayadayada…
I have brought up on other threads my involvement with SKUSA and the Pro Kart Challenge, how I personally see a fit with the GGP using the (PKC) format.
At the last GGP planning meeting we all discussed our own opinions on the direction the GGP should go. Everyone at the meeting had great ideas. No decisions were made and we plan on getting together again very soon and will continue to meet right up to the next GGP race.
My post, to answer your question, was to direct attention to this same format I am posturing for at the meetings. It works, it’s fun, and it supports everything I want from a kart event from a consumer standpoint.
Will it flush in our region? That is the question for now. What will be decided will be supported by everyone involved with the GGP, and the 2nd Annual GGP will be successful no matter what, or who’s format and rules are used.Hope I answered your question.

ParticipantCheck this out. http://www.ekartingnews.com/news_info.php?n=6710
From what I have heard from the CO Karters who have gone to this event, “this is one of the funest races of the year.” Lot’s of seat time, activities, great scenery, big fields…
Sure sounds like a SKUSA/Pro Kart Challenge event to me. Or at least a winning formula for a great kart race. I only wish we had the $$$ and time to check it out this year. Sounds like a good time.
Good luck to those of you who are going! Bring me back a piece of Tri-Tip!

ParticipantWe had a very productive post race meeting last night and Kurt Freiburg will be releasing a status report on all our discussions. 2007 looks very good and I can assure you it will be bigger and better each and every year.

ParticipantOur sincere thanks go out to Blink and Jim for throwing some love back to the racers at the last two CSC races. The DGP tickets and now credit on merchandise was very well received. Way to go guys, we hope this starts a new trend in the Colorado karting community.
We do appreciate everything all you track owners do!

ParticipantYou got it Brandon. I want to see those CRG’s finish up front next year in Greeley. You guys were on fire until that pesky hay bail jumped out and bit you. Hopefully we will have pro-tech barriers to bounce off in ’07.
I will try to document everything that comes up in the meeting and put it out there for everyone to ponder.
Take Care,
CurtCurt Kistler
ParticipantI would assume it will be Mike. I did not get a chance to visit much with Rusty other than to discuss the availability of our club house for the gathering on Monday.
I know that Memorial weekend was bad for some, however, there will always be something in someones way no matter what dates you pick. +100 racers for the first year was pretty good.
Let’s see what Rusty has cooked up on Monday and go from there. See you this weekend.
PS: I saw Ricky Bobby finish a race backwards last night. Looked familiar. We may need to start calling you Ricky Mikey.

ParticipantI have not read one comment yet that contradicts what is being done out West in the PKC. Fewer classes, rules, schedule posted way in advance of winter, tech, nice awards… The list goes on.
We can add junior classes to our PKC/CSC version of racing. No need to print new rules. We can go as far as CA to race if we so desire. The Utah gang will love the racing format of going home on Sunday’s. We can organize a staff to represent karters, owners and shops. We can get many paid series sponsors to offset the cost of race day.
Everything you folks are saying is what has already been posted in the other two “next year” threads.
I am willing to host a meeting in mid August if it can be represented by a few racers, owners and any shop’s wanting to throw their concerns on the table.
Or, the same 9 or 10 of us who constantly post on this site can continue to voice our own opinions. You all know how to reach me. Bye for now.
Curt Kistler
ParticipantSounds very interesting to me. Keep us posted as information is released. This may be something worth looking into for 2007. As long as it has at least one gear to shift it would be an easy transition for us shifty hardcores that are struggling to make the change.
I am sure you would want to be extra careful with this around straw bails at the Greeley Grand Prix. Could get expensive if you were to wadd the axel hard inside the tranny area. Thanks,
Let us know when we can test drive yours. 😉Curt Kistler
ParticipantDoug,
Is there any info out there on the DD2? Sounds like a good package.Curt Kistler
ParticipantAnother good point Bill. We all have our opinions on how points should be tallied. Kyle is still the man to beat and has been since we came into the game.
No pressure at this time, I am just trying to state my argument for 2007.It’s all good, and we will see you IMI.
