ParticipantJust wanted to say thanks in advance :wave

ParticipantWill the track layout be the same as lst year? It sure would be nice to know a little ahead of time for prep and all.
Tom Dennin
ParticipantDoes anyone know what the layout of the track is going to be? Is it going to be the same as last year?

ParticipantGreat job Rick. Congrats
See you in Steamboat,

ParticipantActually Dennis, the Rotax is only at a slight disadvantage at Bandimere that is if you have a competent driver and a good chassis setup. So for the seven CSC races the Rotax competes in, it is only at a slight disadvatage at two races or 28.5% of the races. In other words, the Rotax is equal to or has an advantage 71.5% of the races. When you look at it logically the Rotax does not suck at Grand Junction, IMI, or Steamboat. What may be lacking is the chassis setup or the drivers ability but the power plant is up to par.
Just food for thought,
Tom

ParticipantDoug,
That is a pretty bold statement. You don’t think that it may be in reaction to the OVERALL dominance of the Rotax at IMI.
Charles,
The Rotax is the engine to have at IMI. If the Sonik’s advantage is only at the start of the race and the Rotax is good everywhere other than the start how on earth is this an advantage for the Sonik overall. As Roman demonstrated, he overcame the start and walked away with the win. My only advantage at the start was to be in front and get in the way for about half the race. I know you and Mike can attest to this. 😀

Participantgood idea. It is a club race, why not find out how the various engines react to weight changes at particular tracks known to be dominated by a specific engine.
I am amazed that someone is actually being proactive. Isn’t it
great!!!!!!!!!!!Has anyone actually tested to see how a 10lb increase or decrease actually affects each of the various engines? A 10lb increase or decrease at particular tracks will yield a different response for varying engine packages.
Brad how did you determine the various new weights? I know it is your track so you can do whatever you want but did you do any real data analysis?
How many of the engine packages run on the club race days?

ParticipantDo we need to have our own transponder? Also, does the $80 entry fee cover all three days (Sept. 16,17,18) of track time for competitors? If so what is the three day pass for $25 pertain too? :wave

ParticipantWhat are some other hotels? The double tree only has rooms with two full size beds. 👿

ParticipantTodd,
you obviously don’t get it and are missing the point completely. The seal doesn’t cost anyone money. The seal is only worth I think it was $2. What costs money is breaking the seal due to ridiculous rules that don’t accept the authenticity of the seal. The Rotax was here before the TAG series and obviously before SKUSA jumped on the band wagon and the Rotax will be here long after TAGUSA and SKUSA and IKF and WKA ……etc. screw the whole TAG concept up.
Mike,
Do you think it is possible that the TAG class is getting messed up on purpose? It almost seems like the powers that be are trying to force the TAG series into extinction. TAGUSA making assinine weight changes then withdrawing them and then doing it again. The ’05 leopard being legal to run from the begining of the year and then they have a revalation that the ’05 is different than the previous years?? You may see me in the S3 class before the year is out.

ParticipantI will say it again. TAG needs to go to a Touring car mentality. The fast guys get weight and the slow guys lose weight. If you want to sand bag in qualifying then that will be your penalty. Why can’t this be done? Adding 10lbs or losing 10lbs is easy all you need is 2 bolts and 4 nuts :loony:

Participant:soap
And this my friends is why TAG is being ruined. Just because Seth ran great at IMI he has a sealed cheater motor?? :idn: No one mentioned that Roman in TAG master (30lbs heavier) on a Rotax ran a 54.4 what an awesome lap. Everyone who runs TAG knows that IMI is a Rotax track.
Todd maybe SKUSA should rethink its rules. And if that is out of the question then SKUSA should pick up the tab when the sealed engine is found to be legal. I am betting that this would change SKUSA rules. Has a sealed Rotax ever been found to be illegal with regards to what is behind the seal??? Also, one of the main bonuses of having a rotax is being able to run both the RMC and TAG races. Take that away and you lose many quality rotax drivers across the country.
This is coming from some one who owns two rotaxs karts and a sonik kart. I knew going into yesterdays event at IMI that the rotax was fast and I even contemplated running the rotax, but I knew running the sonik would be a great challenge. I went for the challenge and had a great time competing. Thanks to all the TAG master drivers for a clean competitive run.

ParticipantWhat rules are we going to be following with regards to TAG (ie. weight, 2005 leopard,….)?
At this point, many SKUSA affiliated organizations (CSC for one) are not following the ever evolving, class killing TAGUSA rules.Tom Dennin
ParticipantScott,
Don’t listen to these guys. A C+, C-, or a C sucks if you are not applying yourself to your fullest potential!!!!!! Settling for average is crap and don’t let anyone tell you different. You should be able to get a C+ in your sleep. Your parents did the right thing! You knew the rules and broke them now you are paying the consequences. Sounds to me like you are learning now.
The Bill Gates and Steve Job comparisions are the exception and not the rule. If you do not strive to be the best, you will never be the best.

ParticipantWhat if we run two classes, do we have to get the fuel and oil for the second class?
