    Brad,

Which national schedules? I am curious to see which you guys factor in when scheduling. Is “The Track” going to be in the CSC in 2005? Are the number of races going to be increased?

    Rich,

The trailer is all but done. I am ordering on Saturday an 8’x20′ from Wells Cargo. I should have it by the end of February. If you know of anyone who wants to buy a 2 yr old 6′ x 12′ trailer with e-track on the walls and floor and a tire rack let me know.

    Mike,

No sleeping at work. I think you are having a dream 😀 😛

A question from an outsider looking in. I have a son who will start karting this spring. I am going to be looking at the comer 50 or the baby easykart.

I can not come up with a reason why Brad’s offer wouldn’t be a great idea.

You could have your own engine for practice and when it comes time to race take it off and strap on one of Brad’s and bingo no question on whether or not anyone has illegal equipment.

I for one applaud Brad for making what seems to be an honest attempt to solve the problem.

I have to say though that cheating at any level, especially this class, boggles my mind. All the kids want to do is have a fun time. Isn’t it a good lesson to teach our children to be gracious in defeat? I think so. It makes winning so much more fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A concerned parent,

Thanks for all the replies. I am down to either a Pace Shadow GT or Wells Cargo Motortrac 2000.

Anyone have any thoughts about either of these trailers? Good or bad?

    Thanks Again,

    Curt,

You might want to check the facts about what happened to Sean. In this case, I was sitting directly in front of where the incident occurred. Sean was the one who took himself, 2nd , and 4th out. He was in third at the time and made a bad pass attempt only because it took all of those guys out. If he would have made it through clean it would have been a great pass. From my vantage point, Sean’s kart was going away while others were coming in. You have to remember this was a 27 lap main. The forth place guy was the fastest at the time of the wreck. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Just to let you know, I know Sean and he is a friend of mine. He was the guy to beat all weekend. The weather was changing by the main for the international group.

    Rich,

I think it would be in everyone’s interest to observe how things work at such a large event and then decide if it’s what you want to do. In my case, I took some notes on what I need to be prepared for next year. It was also a lot of fun just watching and knowing next year I will be part of the show. Hopefully, the nationals are not in Florida. I not a huge fan of the state. I would like to see it be somewhere truely on the East coast.

    Marc,

What rotax engine are you refering to? 😕 Can you refer me to your reference on this? :idn: or is this :bs: ? It will be very interesting to see how the weights for the TAG classes are figured by TAGUSA/SKUSA. I am expecting that the CSC will go by their weights.

    Rich,

That’s what he thinks. He likes the noise they produce. Could you imagine the weight on that kart!! 😯

    Here is a thought.

Before each CSC event, the track which the event will be running at has a club race with the exact track layout the weekend prior. I know I would have attended if that was the case. I would wager that these races would bring out more karts than a typical club race.

    What does everyone think?

Also, does anyone know when a CSC meeting is going to happen? Will it be before the end of the year? Hopefully, it will be earlier than last year!

    Dave,

In regards to adjusting weight, leave it to SKUSA/TAGUSA. They have the data. We here in CO are at the mercy of the driver. For example, Donal or the Welch brothers, no matter what they drive they will be up front. They are just good drivers, which is great. It makes everyone strive harder to keep up. It would not be fair to penalize the others. By the way, Donal drives both a Leopard and a Rotax depending on which track he is at. You guys remember Donal the TAG Sr. CSC champ.

    Jon,

I do not see the problem with two engines. I currently have two Rotax engines at my disposal. I have started to understand the Rotax. So it would be hard to go away from it. When we go to tracks like Bandimere or Steamboat you just know you better have your stuff together. I think it presents a challenge. I assume it is the same way for the other engine packages at the other tracks.

Another thought, when The Track at Centenial opens are they going to be running a Rotax Max Challenge? I hope so because that would make my decision very simple.

Keep the feedback coming I think its great.

Does +50 mean the fuel is bad or illegal? If it does, why weren’t they DQ’d? I don’t believe they were cheating, but has anyone explained why their fuel read the way it did? Lots of questions!!!!!!!! What did it read when Dane failed? Did anyone else fail the fuel test? Does the tester know how to use the equipment correctly? When was the equipment last calibrated? Does it need to be calibrate after every test, second test, third,… etc.?

This goes back to my point of take the time to go and get fuel that will pass. It may or may not be teched, but if it is and one fails they should be DQ’d. It seems pretty simple to me. As Doug stated, VP fuels will pass any test at any event.

Seems to me that the fuel issue is a fluid one. If one paid attention to the last CSC race at IMI, then fuel became a tech item just ask Duff and Dane. Now everyone knows, so what is the problem? :idn:

Would everyone have passed tech if fuel was teched at Bandimere on the 15th? I am speculating that more would have than at the previous CSC races.

I have bought all of my fuel at Big T and I use VP MS93. It is somewhat out of the way for me but oh well I just buy extra each time I go. I know they will sell you 20 gallons at a time in a drum. :sun:

Will there be a pre-tech on Saturday? If so, what will be the time period?

That news is old, 6/23/2003. It is now back to 50:1. Check the Rotax site.

    Tom

PS –> I have never run at 50:1
