ParticipantI am in the process of buying a new trailer and I want to pose this question in hopes of not forgetting something before I order the trailer this Friday.
What are the most important accessories within a trailer being built for karting? For those of you who have trailers, what do you wish you would have included? What are you the most happy with that you did include?
All suggestion are much appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Tom
PS. Any comments about trailers in general would be great.

InactivePut E-track on the wall for strapping things down. We also had it recessed in the floor but it is too hard to keep clean. Other things are: fuel jug holder, tire racks, cabinets and a place to mount a vise. We had daimond plate put on the floor, I wouldn’t do it again as it is too hard to keep clean.

Inactiveyou got that right!
aside from security, i prefer to have barn doors on the back instead of a ramp. two reasons: more wall storage and more room to work behind your trailer.
go with the vinyl flooring… its easy to clean and sweep up.
i found a cork board to pin up track maps, fuel mixture ratio chart, tire durometer chart, etc, invaluable. also, i put up a white board with erasable markers to make quick notes about my setup, keep a shopping list of items i need, etc.
you may also want a place to store your helmet(s), and somewhere to hang your suit.November 9, 2004 at 4:52 am #48841Anonymous
InactiveA solar power system with battery and inverter….OR…one of those new ultra quiet inverter generators that Honda & Yamaha sells…..OR….get an ONAN..
I hate having to hear my neighbors cheap, oversize, NOISY generators at the track. It just goes right through my small brain. 😡

ParticipantThanks for all the replies. I am down to either a Pace Shadow GT or Wells Cargo Motortrac 2000.
Anyone have any thoughts about either of these trailers? Good or bad?
Thanks Again,
Tom
