yes jeff you are probably right, but at GJ, and Bandimere, the whole TaG field is gridded according to time, so in the case you stated, those guys would be simmilar speeds, andyes, the light kart will have an advantage, but if he drives like he has the weight, chances are the heavy guy, if a better driver, could overtake, again it depends on the situation, the light will be faster, but i have seen some pretty slow lighter weight guys

With the amount of snow and cars on that surface, its unlikely to see it smoothed out, but hopefully the circus does not take as much track (they drilled holes which blocked off some room) and we can use more track and avoid the bumps. All things considered, it was smooth except for like 3 places.

At the Supernationals, it was masters and SRs, as for the state, i hope they split JR and SR becuase of the size of the field, and if there is a masters class, split them too

Frec, no one tried to start anything, there were questions to the legality of the motor for 2004, and up untill recently, no one had come forward saying they had the specs and the motor was under review. Now AJ and Sonik importer have went to the effort to get this taken care of and it will probably be legal anyway. Besides, the CSC would have legalized it for our series just becuase there are a few out here and looking for competition. I hope that it is clear to use for 2004, it is a good motor, other then a Parilla, a sonik would be my other motor choice if thats what it came too.

You honestly think what made the TaG series so popular and successful is, and I quote Chaz from the banquet, “we just went ahead and did it” we did not wait to submit anything to anybody, wait for any homologation, ask for approval from that sancitoning body, we did it to work with many of the motors that were out there, and at the end of the season, it was a premere class, and i know it will be very successfull next season becuase all the TaG racers have the balls to try new things. I was excited when i was at the first meeting, knowing what i was doing this sport for, what class i was going to run, and above all, learning what was in store, that helped me very much in making a successfull season.

George, It appears that many people have tried to allow CRE as a part of the local program , however, it appears that is not your wish. This is not an intention to be on the bad side but bad mouthing the unified colorado stance is only going to hurt and drive away customers. This is a shame to me as i really enjoyed the weekend i had at your track and wish that i can return again to race whatever i can next year. Having seen like 30 people at CRE and 97 at Steamboat a month prior, it appears that the CSC is the favorite among colorado kart racers. I hope for the best and hope to return to CRE in 2004.

As for the statement that “TaG USA should download the specs for the Sonik off the Sonik website” there are no specs, that was what chaz was stating the whole time. I am not intending to get on anybody’s bad side, but if a true specification sheet did in fact exist, then Sonik would have absolutly no trouble with the motor in TaG.
For some insight into the sonik issue, I shall post the link to website with ALL availible information i can get off of that site. Even the CIK Homologation fiches do not directly include the VX125 ES so the company is looking at a possible absence from the USA scene in 04 (I hope not, its a hell of a motor to race against, many people own this and it would be unfair to have paid 2k for an illegal motor)
