Rick, my avatar is annoyed at your excessive emoticonication.

Jansen, if you put Borat up there again, Orion (my avatar and nom de geurre) will e-walk down to the beach and slap him so hard his mustache falls off. Then he’ll take Mikeala and the other hottie back to the polyester palace where he MIGHT have to remove the mask!! Feel me?

Since we’re on the subject of those wacky Euro types, will one of you smart guys please explain the difference between ICC and Super ICC (newly coined KZ2 and KZ1 classes)? I think one requires a higher class CIK/FIA license, right? but is there a performance difference between the ICC and Super ICC?

Mike, my original reply might have seemed a bit harsh. I just don’t believe in emoticons (smilies). I meant no offense.

Dang. I have alot to learn.

Everytime I learn something new I realize there is SO much more I need to know to go fast. Thanks for the tip, Curt. I’ll be testing on Saturday.

Kirk…………….I did that long before I posted my question. Did you see a brand listed? My point is this should be listed before the race so no one is suprised when they show up to race.

Racing is all about the details.

    Mike

Fair enough, but by failing to specify a brand for wet weather tires, the implication is that the tire brand will be open. I for one am gonna cross my fingers and hope for sunshine so I don’t have to spend another 300 bucks on a set of tires and wheels that MIGHT be used.

Mike. Don’t get mad. Just use the internet.

Here’s how i figured it out:
step 1: click on the link just above your post, it says Greeleygrandprix.com or some other craziness.
    step 2: click on RULES.
step 3:follow the link to the rules for the CSC
step 4:read the last line of the rules where it says “We will race in wet conditions, except for the Kid Karts and Junior 1 classes.”

Dave..I’m a humeris fracture survivor (just this year, actually). Greggory will be back in action soon. Sorry to hear about the wreck. Did he have to have surgery? Is he in a flexible brace or a cast?

I’ve been practicing out at IMI over the past few weekends and my elbows are killing me. A friend of mine practiced out there with me yesterday and is complaining that his elbows are sore too. Why?? I’ve driven at The Track a ton and had no issues??

    Next question:

I’m replacing all my axle bearings this week. Brad at IMI told me most people run the inner bearing loose. Should I run the inner cassette loose, or the inner bearing itself loose?

    Answer # 1: You’re both wussies
Answer #2: the cassette itself will be loosely bolted to the carrier, not tight.

ok, on #1, it may just be sore muscles. Triceps? Elbows hitting the motor/edge of the seat?

Ouch…luckily I am not too proud to mock myself…and have others do it for me. That was funny, Rick.

There was a photog at the IMI race. He came up to me after the race with one of those ‘key-chain viewer’ thingies (sorry not sure how else to describe it). Anyway I was able to view the proof via the pocket viewer and ordered an 8×10. This was a different guy, not Mitch, he said he has no online viewable proofs. His analog version worked for me. He got a good pic of me with two karts behind…they must have been lapping me or otherwise just patiently waiting to pass, hahahahah.

    Kirk,

Is that your new polyester blue driving suit? And from the looks of that hair, it’s snell 2000 or better I assume.

The suit is CIK Level 2 poly. Not so good at abrasion resistance but DAMN it looks good…and we know THAT is what counts with the ladies. The hair is the new Arai Open-Faced KartPRO model. Luckily it came with the handy eye protection in the pic. No chin strap needed!

I called the clinic..they aren’t really in that sponsorship mode but the helpful office manager WAS able to give me the name and number of the local rep for Bristol Meyers Squibb who handles all Orencia marketing for Colorado! I just left her a voicemail. The worst they can say is NO. I think I can handle that.

Jansen..good luck with the little blue pill people. Rick is right…don’t mix it with your new thong *shudder*.

Since we are now under ‘just for fun’… on a whim i decided to email Bristol Meyers. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. If I was not on a new drug called Orencia, there is no way i could race, lift my kart, or even walk around without alot of diffculty. I asked that my customer feedback form be forwarded to their marketing department so we could discuss how (through my racing) I could help them spread the word about this drug. I don’t really expect a reply but I’m sure the ‘go-fast’ nature of karting with a few action pics would fit their marketing of this great new medication. What’s 10 or 20 grand to Bristol Meyers, right?

I know I’m just dreaming but at least I’m giving this a shot. Maybe I should hit up the Denver Arthritis clinic too, I’ll be there tomorrow. (the wheels are turning).

Ref that Gatorz thread on EKN..those guys took it WAAAAAAAAAAY off base and turned it into a crazy bashing of each other. Use post #69 for something more substantive, i’m surprised that thread is still active.
