ParticipantThanks. If anyone would like to share some PWM knowledge with me, I’m all ears. Even just a base line for altitude would be nice.

ParticipantLooks like I’m buying a stock Honda today. S3, look out.
Now I need ANOTHER 10lb of lead.
What was the stocker number plate color? Kurt said they have be consistent on all 4 sides this year?

ParticipantSunday at TTAC was real fun. The couple wet spots were irritating, but we kept it on the track and served as a good shakedown. Hope you guys got out to knock the dust off.

ParticipantI don’t think memorial day weekend is a good idea, but I’d go if that’s what the plan is.

ParticipantCurious what the 2 week slip was about originally…? It went from mid to late June pretty quick. Any reason it can’t be reverted and trade that club date with IMI again?
I got the same info from the hotel. Does anyone camp? Is there any camp ground with showers available in the area?

ParticipantI think I’m getting an HJC AR-11 for this year.
http://www.extremesupply.com/hjchelmets/hjchelmetsar.htm#ar11I’d been using a M rated helmet I got for track lapping days (street cars).

Jim………June 29 is the AMA Motocross Nationals at Thunder Valley. Try to NOT schedule a club race on that weekend. Thanks
That is the new date for the GJMS CSC weekend anyway.

Jeff,
You had an awesome season. If it is not in the cards to go with a Spec moto, don’t worry. Just keep getting seat time anyway you can. If you can swing a Spec moto, get one. You’ll know better where you stand as a driver. The next guy having a “A level” Icc motor against yours, that may have been around the block a few times makes it hard to calibrate your driving ability, to some degree. If you cannot swing one, just race with whatever makes the thing go so you can get laps. Seat time is more important than anything. The last thing I want is for the newer racers to think they have to go out and replace what they have now. Although, you may have surprised yourself toward the end of the season running a Sm against other Sm’s.

Thanks, I appreciate the kinda words and a little reinforcement of my decision for 08. I’ll be watching the #s in SM and looking for a deal on a motor. I definitely see your point about comparison. We worked out a lot of new guy kinks last season and I would love a good place to see how I can measure up.
Anyone want to 2nd my intention of asking Barry to help out my YZ? I know this thread is about SM, sorry.

ParticipantI’d like to move into Spec Moto (I’m not heavy), but it would take some super deal on an engine package to get me on it this coming year. Weighing my options, it looks like I should freshen up my shifter and run 08 building more experience.

ParticipantThat’s great to hear. Sorry I couldn’t make it. I’m eager to learn what shook out.

ParticipantHas anyone ever contacted Our Gang about karts on Georgetown?
They have a fun day Dec 28. That is assuming the ice is ready.
http://www.iceracing.homestead.com/Index.htmlI’ve never even thought about running a YZ125 in cold weather. Is it as simple as running a super fat jet? Put more oil in the mix? What type of oil is preferred?

ParticipantIt was great out there today. The track is in good shape and there were 3 other guys out there getting used to some new equipment.
If any of you guys read this, welcome again!
Sounds like there will be some action tomorrow as well. Not quite as warm, but nice enough.

ParticipantI’ve found the one man team is tough. Getting help at the track has not been as much of a problem as in the garage. I’ve seen a few guys at the track with some trick stands that they can ratchet to the proper height and drag it onto the truck or trailer.
With the Harbor Freight trailer we have, I can unload to the ground solo, but getting it back on or up on a stand requires help.

ParticipantI went wheel to wheel on ice in my kart last night (in a dream).
