ParticipantI agree with all Jim’s suggestions and Angie about the date. Look for a break in the weather on a weekend in Jan/feb and pull the trigger.
I’d consider running my shifter (medium seat) if there is some interest. Kirk, if you are serious about preparing the hardkart, I’d help for sure.

Jeff broke (just kidding) the starter at the last race at Centennial. After all the racing was done, I was gonna let Jeff take his first ever ride in a TaG kart…Jeff got all geared up, sat down in the high-powered HARDkart and pushed the green button…the silence was deafening.
That was a huge bummer. 😐 I “broke” 2 karts that day! I guess this is not a good way to market myself to potential enduro teams. :rotate:
Lets do this!

ParticipantI’m interested. We could try to form a shifter team or I’d be happy to drive a tag.
Jeff Field
ParticipantRick, I’m interested.
I’ve got some time on Georgetown lake with “Our gang” ice racing. They have cooperated in the past with a local Subaru group to do events on the days they are out there for testing. That may be an option, but I recall they have some funny AWD requirement (could be insurance related). Maybe that would be irrelevant if they consider a few kart days for us.
Most of them pit on the ice, but the dirt lots are just a boat ramp away.
I also like the sound of Rainbow or another private spot.
I don’t think going side by side with spikes will be a reality. The TT format may be less exciting, but I think everyone can see why it is the most likely format.
I’ve got a few ideas for modifying kart tires with some simple hardware.
Fat jets and big gloves! I like this idea.

Participant1 125 shifter for club and CSC.
1 125 masters for club.Jeff Field
ParticipantAlso check out the karting mods for rfactor. It’s fun to drive race cars and hone race craft on the weeknights.
A mild PC with a $75 logitech wheel and pedal set has blown any console racing experience out of the water.

ParticipantI think the issue of double mains is addressed in another current thread. I think no is the consensus.
Any info on the direction? Unfortunately, my sore ribs will dictate if I can race or not.

ParticipantWe’ll show up. We’re still pretty new, so not much to sell. Mostly interested in deals on spares and tools and stuff I don’t even know about yet.
Jeff Field
ParticipantYes, the tire deal was very nice.
I’ll second the congrats to Travis for smoking us and to Rich for the podium. Well done!
Jeff Field
ParticipantThanks so much for the tires, Rick. We’ll put them to good use. Hope you guys all enjoyed the day.
Jeff Field
ParticipantCongrats, Kirk!

ParticipantI’d love to have some rubber to test on. We’ve got a heap of learning to do!
IMI on Sunday?
I was considering asking around the grands for take-off tires I could practice on, but everyone was so busy, I didn’t want to bother.

Nice, Josh. Steve has our kart and may be out at IMI in the next few days if you want to catch up with him.

ParticipantWas that a pro photographer out there yesterday? I’d be interested to see some of those pics. Website?

Welcome jibco!
The timing system should have caught your laps after your unplanned pit stop. Either Angie did something up in the tower, or your transponder got wigged out with a hot plug wire floating around near the unit. It should register on the computer every time the transponder crosses the timing strip at the line.
Great job in driving that CRG around. Feel free to pinch Ben anytime you feel the urge, especially when he is in front of Matt 😉
BTW: That was Ben’s old man that pushed started you right in front of him. We all gave him some grief, it’s our job as tuner dad’s to give each other the business when we deserve it.Thanks. I had the transponder on the left bodywork and the plug wire was happy to ground through my elbow continuously. Surprising, to say the least.
I feel like Super Aguri dusting off the old Arrows chassis and having a go. 😆
I never did pick out his dad and say thanks for the push. It was appreciated… and I am catching on to all the tuner dad dynamics at the track. Good group out there.
I should probably mention that we only bought the thing 2 months ago (my 1st kart). We owe a big thanks to Tyson and Tom Taylor for helping us get it sorted. I suppose we may try again in September. Any advice is certainly welcome, especially if you see us doing something dumb. :idn:
