What am I expecting from the meetig? Well I guess i will go and see if the meeting is to decide if we are going to have a meeting.

P.S. I agree that the CSC does not need a sanctioning body this year. None of the karting organizations other than stars seems to truely have there act together at this point. It is sad that this is the case. Hopefully in 2007 some sanctioning body will have something to offer the CSC.

Still no answer? What is going to be happening at the meeting? Is it just a social gathering?

Was just looking at the 2006 membership form and wondering how we sign a document stating we will abide by the rules set forth by th CSC? Are the rules out yet? If the rules are out and classes decided what is the purpose of the meeting on the 21st? Just a couple of questions before I drive 200 miles for a meeting.

As stated in the note, the SKUSA team is completely new- and is just getting up to speed. We?ve literally just hopped in the seat! Of course it will take time to create a program that helps promote the overall health of the sport- while at the same time addressing each region and the needs of their participants. As with anything new you have to start somewhere, and that is exactly what we are doing. Thankfully we are starting from a position of strength and with what we know best, and that is delivering the best racing experience possible?and we?ve done that with the ProKart Challenge.

    Mr Baltutis
If just getting up to speed, with all the prior go karting experience you have had I am personally optimistic. I would expect any national organization to do there homework and have a some direction in mind before courting 150 or so karters to support them. I am hoping we have a national sanctioning body step up to the plate fully that will benefit us as racers. I was happy with SKUSA last year. TELL US PLEASE WHAT ARE YOU OFFERING US IN RETURN OF US SUPPORTING YOU WITH OUR HARD EARNED MONEY?????

321.5 But the best ones are the fly Penguin “Fly ball” beak buried in the snow. Haven’t been able to beat my high score even after more than an hour. Took five minutes for the first one and can’t top 319.9 have hit that three times now.

    Blink,

Gee I just answered your question. I guess your answer is no? Well before you knock other series you ought to do your homework. If I am Mr. Big Time you set your standards low. I do care about how the CSC is run that is why I don’t want a repeat of how it was run in 2004. 2005 was much better rules were enforced tech was done. Not only was tech done but it was not by a karting buisiness owner whos decision could be swayed by purchases made.

P.S. If you think I was knoking the competition here I am not. However when was the last time you had 41 comer 80 jr.1s on your track for a race? There were 41 in Norman OK last year for the season opener of Stars.

    Blink,

As a matter of fact I have been to a STARS race multiple times. Have you been there to see a race that has been run to a schedule that is adhered too? Also have you been to a race where there is tech after qualifying, pre-final, and final? Brandon does not run at the back of the pack even though I spend far less than 2500 per motor. If you would like to know there are competitors spending up to 5500 per motor “yes for a comer 80”.

P.S. I would much rather see my son mid pack at a race with top competitors than first with no competition to race against. I can buy a cheap trophy to throw in the closet with the rest if thats all we are looking for.

    Blink,

Yeah your right STARS has nothing the same it is far better run and more organized. I was reffering to the engine/kart rules ie. the comer 80.

Blink is there something wrong with going to church????

I personally do not go to church, but my son and parents do. I have no problem with the racing on Sunday since it is my Son’s passion, however what is wrong with Saturday?

    Jim,

If you are writing the rules is there going to be a conflict with the requirements STARS requires? Will I need motors for those races, and motors for here?

    To ALL,

I was very happy with how SKUSA worked in this region last year. Not to say the new SKUSA will be better. The one thing I do know is that we as racers need a written rule book with enforcement by someone other than a TRACK OWNER. I have seen favortism rules applying to some, but not all. Don’t want to get into details, but if want to talk to me one on one about instances please pm me.

    JB,

If the CSC does not get it’s act together you may want to think about running a club race. I know it’s got to be profitable, and I totally understand that. I have already hit Jim up at the track to find out what he is planning on doing. Im in the wait and see pattern, but if the CSC doesn’t care about there racers then I don’t care to see them profit with my hard earned money.

    Richard,

I applaud you and your post!!! I think it’s a fair way of saying that the powers that be “DON’T KNOW WHO THEY ARE BUT THEY DON’T GIVE A RIP FOR THERE KARTERS THAT SUPPORT THE SERIES”.. I understand that you want to help your customers and respect that. Please look at my post regarding the schedule. Us as karters can be in control rather the powers that be controling OUR racing. BAN THE RACES THAT CONFLICT!!!!

    Jim,

Since the track should be open for the 2006 race year are you going to run jr1 comer 80 and novice shifter class for club racing? The reason I ask is if I can afford to make the STARS races this year we are going. I find it interesting that there was a lot of posts about what the schedule was going to be for the CSC, and everybody elses schedules were posted first. The CSC not taking into account some of the other major events? “FOOLISH ON THE POWERS THAT BE!!!!”. As it stands right now assuming I can afford to attend STARS the only track that will be punished is IMI since it is there two race days that we will be gone. May or may not race the other CSC events why waste my money to try for a championship when it will be unobtainable? Hope I can get some support by boycotting the CSC on conflicting dates.

    Brian Moore
Father of Brandon #77 comer 80 and Novice shifter

P.S. We as racers could make it a six or less event race for a championship if we boycott the other races.
