ParticipantFor to the first time since I have been in karting, the powers to be have decided to plan their schedule without giving the National series a second look. This will create 2 schedule conflicts. I am sorry but we always chase the National Championship and will continue to do so in 2006. In fact, we have so many drivers this year wanting to race nationally that we are participating in both STARS East and West as well as Black Rock, Rock Island, Supernationals, and any other one off big races.
What this means is we will have to miss 2 rounds of the CSC. This of course is not my choice. Rather, the schedule writers have decided for some reason that this year little suzies soccer game is more important. Or there is a knitting marathon on the home channel that they can not miss. Or maybe they just don’t want us there?
I am in China right now and the smell of BS is overwhelming. ( I am not near any cattle that I know of ). This basically tells all of us that want to race a National series to choose. Either take 2 drops and lose the State Championship or take 2 drops and lose the National Championship. Thanks for looking out for Colorado Karting guys.
I try my hardest to support the CSC every year. I don’t bring in top National drivers to win regional races for the trophies. Trust me. It is a lot of money to do so. I bring them in to draw exposure to the sport.
Contrary to popular belief I started the ball rolling to have the Nations Cup in Grand Junction. Not so Rudy could win it. But to get the race here in Colorado. Trust me, Alan winning that race sold me exactly zero go-karts. And cost me about $4,000.00.
We have signed a lot more regional drivers this year and from the looks of it about 40 % of the entries for the CSC will be on the RBI chassis. Of them, over half have interest in racing some or all of the national races. I am not bragging. Just letting you know that you are not affecting RBI Racing as a company. You are affecting 40 % of your customers. The drivers that support your series.
Please. If you have a beef with me, PM me and let me have it. Don’t take it out on your customers. We have tried to bring national caliber support to our customers at a regional level. And so far have succeeded. I will do whatever it takes to continue the best support system the industry has to offer. I will bring in more tuners from the Italian factory for regional races while we are at the Nationals if that is what it takes.
I will say that if the CSC will not reconsider changes to the schedule to accomodate all drivers then please do not ask me to return the favor and support the series. We will be at ALL of the races but only to support our drivers and families. Please do NOT ask us to sponsor anything in the future.
If anyone has a question or comment you can PM me or send an e-mail to [email protected] with them. I have forewarded this to AJ so we can get to work on finding a solution to this problem. We will answer any questions you may have.
Thank you again for all of your support and business in 2005. Barry and Brenda, a special thank you from Kelly and I. Happy Holidays to all Colorado PARTICIPANTS and good luck in 2006.

ParticipantRichard,
I applaud you and your post!!! I think it’s a fair way of saying that the powers that be “DON’T KNOW WHO THEY ARE BUT THEY DON’T GIVE A RIP FOR THERE KARTERS THAT SUPPORT THE SERIES”.. I understand that you want to help your customers and respect that. Please look at my post regarding the schedule. Us as karters can be in control rather the powers that be controling OUR racing. BAN THE RACES THAT CONFLICT!!!!

ParticipantThe truth is no one had any of the National dates in front of them when we had our conference call and we just picked dates. I now have a problem with the April date conflicting with a AMA motocross race as there was a date change yesterday and I have to change that one anyway. I have no problem changing the date in August to another either. There was no plan to put my dates on any national date if that is what you think Richard. I will get with everyone tomorrow and pick new ones. NO BIG DEAL FOR ME!!!

ParticipantThank you Brad. Sorry for the emotion. Just really busy and from Angies post which said something like the national schedule was not looked at kind of jumped the gun. It would be awsome if you could change the dates. To be honest, I had no clue which dates conflicted at which track. Just thought it was odd that the National series was not considered.
Thank you again and sorry to anyone if my post came over as harsh or irrational. ( Maybe too much chinese food ).
Happy Holidays,
Richard Buxman
