ParticipantI know somebody who knows people at Monster. I’ll touch base with him and see if there’s any possibility of sponsorship.

ParticipantI can definitely see the merit in going to a two day race format but I’m still against it. My plans and budget for the summer are set for racing. If we limit it to three weekends the cost will be the same with a lot less racing. This also potentially puts people out of the running if they can’t make a weekend. I’m stoked to run CSC next year simply because it is a state series. I’d never drive all the way to Grand Junction unless it was part of this state series. I was stretched to run 12 club races last year and a six race format with an odd club race thrown in sounds perfect to me. I plan to run 6-10 races spread out over the summer. The CSC still has it’s “special draw” because I’ll race in it no matter what format is chosen. I’d just prefer to have my racing spread out so I don’t pour everything into three weekends a year. Let’s keep the fun spread out!!

ParticipantGreat ideas. I like the 6 race, 2 at each track format. I’m on the fence with drops, they seem to complicate the points. I agree with Brad on one day events. Two day events would probably hurt attendance. I’m also against a double points race. I fail to see what the advantage is? Why should one race be worth more than others? Again it could hurt attendance for those who can’t make that race and decide to only run club. Just my thoughts.

ParticipantSorry to change the subject, but does anybody know what the dress code is for Saturday? I don’t really care but my girlfriend’s life revolves around the clothing to be worn………….

ParticipantHi all,
If this deal gets pulled together I would be interested in running. My kart is still being built so I’d be happy to split costs with anybody who’s brave enough to share their equipment. PM me if you dare!!

ParticipantHi Tim,
I emailed my number to you. Looking forward to talking to you.

ParticipantHi Tim,
I’m one to ‘fess up. I’ll be running a Tag 4 stroke next year. I ran a Biland Tag Masters kart last year, my first year, and I’m totally sold on four strokes. It is absolutely the way to go for beginners. We’re all hoping the class size will grow next year. They ran all this year and I know a lot of people, including my co-worker, are buying brand new 4 stroke set-ups for next year. I hope you join us!! Talk to Brad, he is very friendly and helpful. Good luck!!

ParticipantHi Tim,
GP chassis are built by CRG. The local dealer and expert is AJ Noud from Rocky Mountain Kartworks. The new GP8 has extended pedal mounts for taller guys like you and I. Parts availability is good and AJ is at most races with parts/chassis tuning support. The chassis are pretty reasonably priced and extremely high quality. Good luck with your new purchase and I strongly recommend getting in touch with AJ.

ParticipantTag 4 Stroke (Heavy) for CSC and possibly a few club races.

ParticipantPerfect timing Mitch. I was going to buy an RLV hitchhiker next week and I’d rather buy one from the Macewen’s. How much do you want for one Ken? Give me a call if you’re looking to sell one. Thanks, Dave 303-549-2531

ParticipantHi there,
Brad and the other track owners have the only real answer to that question but it appears that there will be a light and a heavy Tag 4 stroke next year, I’m banking on it. I just got my new kart and am picking up my Vampire this week. Even if you’re under weight that’s a great place to be. You can bolt weight on where you want it to balance the kart. Good luck and hope to race with you next year!!
David Watkins
ParticipantThanks for the fast reply Jim. Hopefully I can have my new Vampire kart ready in time!!

ParticipantJim,
Your previous post said “We are done”.
OK,
Thanks for all the e-mails.
Weather permitting, the last club race is on Sunday. If it rains or snows,
we are DONE!!!
Thanks for the understanding everyone. I hope to see you on Sunday.
Gates open at 6:00am
Warm up at 9:00am.
Thanks,
JimI verified with Angie and she said we will not be rescheduling. I have already sold my kart and it is gone. I assume this race will not count for points!!!!!!!!!!
David Watkins
ParticipantHi Jim,
Thanks for the cancellation. Do you plan to reschedule or is the season over?
David Watkins
ParticipantI don’t want to beat a dead horse but I wanted to confirm that the season is over. I’ve sold my kart and collected funds but I’m not handing over the kart until the last race is called. That said, the buyer is ready to have the kart. It is my understanding that once the race is cancelled tomorrow we will not reschedule and the season is officially over……
