Your previous post said “We are done”.
OK,
Thanks for all the e-mails.
Weather permitting, the last club race is on Sunday. If it rains or snows,
we are DONE!!!
Thanks for the understanding everyone. I hope to see you on Sunday.
Gates open at 6:00am
Warm up at 9:00am.
Thanks,
JimI verified with Angie and she said we will not be rescheduling. I have already sold my kart and it is gone. I assume this race will not count for points!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

October 22, 2007 at 5:20 pm #59852Les PrinsParticipantJim, So let me get this straight, this is NOT an official IMI/TTAC club series race, but is one of these monthly races for fun?
I just wanted to be sure because I’m thinking of changing engines for testing to a World Formula for Jr2 since there is no points involved. (around the same power as the Animal on alky)
Or if a World Series party starts up, we may not race and go to that 😀 (Go Rockies!)
Or maybe since the kids are on fall break, might go somewhere for the weekend….
The possibilities are endless….
October 22, 2007 at 5:27 pm #59853IanParticipantI will be in Jamaica. :banana

Super!!!
If these will be just for fun, any chance of adding a class (or lack of, thereof) for us rank rookies?
Maybe a pink rental kart heat (or luke warm), or a competition for new kart owners (“who can keep their shiny new kart actually *on* the track for a full lap”), or…? Might be a good opportunity for first/new timers to get some actual racing in and for the real drivers to get a laugh. Seriously, I’m wondering about something like that (the “actual racing” part, not the laughing at us part)…
Cheers —

Post a request for people to meet you out at the track…I think you’ll find most everyone in this community will go out of their way to help others. Even if you don’t post, show up on any nice weekend day and you will find people out there very willing to lend a hand or advice!
I bet you’ll find someone willing to come out and practice with you, help show you racing lines, explain things about your kart, etc.
Best of luck…one newbie to another!

Thanks for the suggestion, Troy. Since I don’t have a kart yet, I’m putting around (as fast as I can, but still putting) in the rentals. Most folks I meet in them are just out for their first or second joy ride, although that often makes it easier for me to feel like a big shot when I blow by them. 🙂
Hope to see you on the track some day soon when I do have a “real” kart.

Dan Peterson has his kart for sale. (see the posting for the briggs modified kart for sale) Dan is onlyl asking $2k for this… complete… Kart, spares, extra short block, stand, external starter. He could get about a $1000 more for it. It is a proven race winning kart. Give it a look. We would love to have you race with us
