One of these day’s I am going to learn which one is Greg and which one is Jeff. Good job Greg. I’ll bet if Jeff could have found a kart to drive he would have given you a run for your money.

What a great opportunity to promote our sport. Matt and I have been to open house events, Grand Openings, talked to magazines……
But yesterday we had the chance to talk with over 5 thousand people, mostly bikers, however even they were interested in what we all do on Sundays.
After pestering Doug all day to allow us to do doughnuts on the main drag, he finally got a parade of karts to run along the street in front of literally thousands of partying people. Jeff Welch won the doughnut competition with a brillant “no hander” with five complete revolution’s! :rotate: I think it was only possible for him to pull-off on an RBI/Billet, but what do I know?
Thanks again Doug and George! Great job, and let’s hope the promoters can bring in the street race in 05.

We had a clear schedule, friends in SLC, and people from Vegas making the trip until we found out they do not support Formula 80 Jr. Shifters.
I called them and they told me they do not have any Jr 80’s that race their facility, just Senior 80 Shifters. Oh Well. So much for pimping a race that has SKUSA rules and classes. It sounds like a great facility, we will perhaps see them next year when we are able to run in a REAL class.

Just came from the hospital and Super Tuner is going to be just fine. His surgery went well, his nurse is good looking, and his meds seem to be working very well.
He even had a little RC Kart to play with when he gets lonely.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, they seem to have worked. :sun:

    Angie,
If we brought him a lap top and he started to read Zippy’s fuel post it will be Christmas before we get him back! :read :puke

Good Lord, did someone ask about fuel? Is there some suspect fuel out there? Just run what the track has to offer, or what STARS/SKUSA pumps on race day and everything will be just fine.

We are waiting to hear how he did in surgery today, will keep you posted.

10X45.00 plus fuel and frozen Snickers = $950.00 from just Team Billet.
Just think how many mothers, brothers, grandfolks, girlfriends and other buddies your gate will loose. 40X8.00 plus more frozen candy bars, jerky, pop and sunflower seeds = another $500.00.
It’s enough to make your head :rotate:

Looks like the smoothing equipment got hung up at the hardware store in Granby. He may be a little late. 😯

A race with no rules and women! Does anybody have an extra large driving suit? Not yours Chaz, I want the skid marks on the outside 😛

Well said Chaz. For us, it was going to be a one race deal with SKUSA that would have run us around 5-7 hundred, for nothing in the big picture. The new job and existing ’04 budget made our decision not to go easy.

I am very surprised by the turnouts in GJ from one week to another. There was an article in last months SKI that talked about why big time tuners are staying home and taking care of the “local racers” who are the ones paying their rent. It is just getting toooooo expensive to go out and race the national scene anymore. With gas going up, and entries going down, I think the CSC is something all regions should look at. Perhaps we could all run an All Star race at the end of every season. The top five from every region in each class punching it out for whatever it is we race for.

Personally, we just want one of Doug’s steering wheels hanging on our wall this winter. 😆

I noticed the same thing Rod. I looked all weekend for something about the race. It would be interesting to see what STARS could bring to CO if they did not stack their events on top of SKUSA. Last year CRE drew more than 44 on the same weekend SKUSA was at Texas.

Until then, the folks involved with the CSC are on the right track. The pro camps have nothing on our little series.

Congrats to the local racers who found a podium this weekend.

Count us in Doug. BTW, your half right, Karting is fun. The jurry is out on affordibility when you need to go fast.

Nobody can knock on CRE. It has the best scales, best run, and most consistant feel to race day than any other track in CO. George always has some great background music on those Sunday mornings during teck and set-up.
One other note, if CRE had a rib breaking corner that the majority of his customers complained about he would have had it repaired at any cost immediately.

Just let me know Stacey. We can roll on Friday afternoon and at least get your grand stands and paddock area covered for the weekend. Good luck with everything else. I know you and your entire staff is busting *## right now.

    Stacey,
You may want to get new batteries for the bull horn for this weekend, I don’t think SKUSA will think the new system is that awesome. :idn:

Just busting your chops, you all did a fantastic job, as usual.

If you do want some help this weekend on sound please let me know ASAP. We will not be racing and I can help the crew since I will be there watching anyway.
