Did anyone see that the Blackrock Shootout in Utah, yes the one that offered 20,000 in cash had a turnout of 91 racers? And of those, 54 were in TAG.

Just goes to show that the CSC series is tops in the nation in my opinion. Doug, Brad, JB, Stacy and all the sponsors need to take a bow.

With only a few races offering money to only a few classes we’re averaging over 125 racers. Keep up the good work!

Now about that MG yellows tire rule… 😆

We had a clear schedule, friends in SLC, and people from Vegas making the trip until we found out they do not support Formula 80 Jr. Shifters.
I called them and they told me they do not have any Jr 80’s that race their facility, just Senior 80 Shifters. Oh Well. So much for pimping a race that has SKUSA rules and classes. It sounds like a great facility, we will perhaps see them next year when we are able to run in a REAL class.

Check out the ekartingnews article on this event. It appears that those 54 entries were not in TAG, but in rotax only class. If memory serves correctly they don’t run a TAG class there, just rotax. Seems a bit short sighted to me. I wonder just how many more would have been there had it been TAG.

The best event to race at in any year is the RIGP – rockislandgrandprix.com

The black rock event was a bust, just like most other one off events that have been going on throughout the country and the reason is that they are too expensive to show up for and too far away to drive and quite honestly a pain in the ass when you get there.

The CSC has something going for it and quite honestly it should be marketed better to the country. There aren’t many events that you can get 120+ karts at EVERY race each time it is held and since it is only once a month, there are alot of karters that would like to race against that size of field every time they get on the track – myself included.

Keep it growing and eventually stars, skusa, ikf or one of the bigger national groups should try and come in and take over – let them. More $, more exposure and better racing will follow.

But then you couldn’t your fuel cocktail if the other sanctioning bodies got involved Dennis 8) 8)

You are right about being marketed better. I don’t see why we don’t have (more) racers coming from New Mexico. Utah and the midwest for that matter.

If you build it, they will come. Was the voice really talking about baseball?
