ParticipantThanks Stacey and Doug for your comments.
Stacey, you are doing the right thing for your motors, and I obviously agree with you to take any measure to protect our motors. Most people I have discussed this with do agree that “any modification” is a nono.
I hope Dennis or Todd can chime in and post a ruling prior to our next race.
Meanwhile, I will bring this up in Black Rock next and see what they have to say.Have a great weekend!

ParticipantDrew,
At IMI on the 19th, try playing some Gregorian Chant music, “Cantus Planus” or some “Dom Mocquereau Collection” on Blink’s JBL’s real loud at 7am. This may keep the new neighbors from getting too close. It will however get the cattle breeding, so be careful. 😛You gotta remember “Team Doghouse” is keen to sailing music. So any Loggins and Messina or Jimmy Buffett would be appreciated. :redman
See you there,

ParticipantThanks Angie,
This format is very cool. I especially like the average mph posting. Just don’t tell Kyle Ray his avg. mph. was 58.45 :idn: and Cody Sanborn in Kid Karts ran a 82.103 avg.mph. :bs: It might hurt his feelings.Curt Kistler
ParticipantI was glad to see no EM crews and red flags yesterday.
Good to see Chaz again, and thanks for all your efforts in getting people ready and in-line for their heats. You personally cut an hour off that windy afternoon. Thanks again!
It was also great to see Ed and Cyrus Permie (sorry if I hammered the spelling of your names) out for the day. Sounds like their new venture in racing is paying off. Ed looked happier than I have seen him in many years.
Good old Grady Clay was even seen with his signature coffee mug with a straw walking around the pits. Said he’s feeling good and still has a positive outlook on life.
It looked as if there were more spectators and family watching the racing than normal. Maybe it was the bleacher layout, however, it’s always nice to see a packed house with people actually cheering, yelling and high-fiving each other rather than the alternate. :argue
The sound system worked great and the FM broadcast was a success. Drew did a bang up job announcing, but please leave the AC/DC bumper music at home next race. 👿
We had one of those bad luck days at all levels. My only fun came with Matt’s hole shot in the main. He went from 21st to 6th in 100 yards. Now that was fun!
See you all at IMI or Black Rock.

ParticipantI left the “Dog House Racing” trailer out there all night with Jack Warrington’s kart inside along with our two pro karts, tools, generator, tires, fuel, tents, tables…… and when I read Mike’s post I nearly died.
After haulling @$$ out there I found everything in it’s place and no cut locks or evidence of tampering. Glad nobody got hit
Mr. Jansen,
You can tell Jack that his kart is at Billet Performance. 🙂Curt

ParticipantFreez,
Just make sure you: stay downwind, keep your wiskerpole straight, rember that beam reach does not mean grab the brown bottle, abreast is one word, keep your baggywrinkle to a minimum, try not to do the Duff and capsize during the main, and remember that our new tech guy has a ditty bag full of tricks.More to come,

ParticipantHey Drew,
Will this system be of any help at Bandi? I need to get it out of my basement.Curt Kistler
ParticipantI spoke with JB on a Rainy Monday this week.
The CSC race #2 at Action Karting will be run Counter Clockwise with practice being run this weekend and next Friday and Saturday. Pit spots are being pre sold by just calling or going on out there to visit with them.
A new asphault apron has been laid to allow for a “Hot Lane” to keep the racing safe during qualifying for the spectators and other racers wandering around. This should keep Rusty from yelling at the “Hot Shoes” for cutting through there at 25+MPH.
As far as the “Newbee’s” go. You will definetaly want to get as many laps in prior to the CSC race. Bandi is the tightest and most technical track you will drive on this summer. The split decision making skills you need will be very important to keep the day moving and your competition on the track, not on the rocks.
Some of the best crashes have been logged at Bandi in the past. Am I correct Chaz and Ian?
See you all out there, and lets pray for :sun:

ParticipantChaz,
From another angle, the racing was everything everone else is talking about: scary, fast, competitive, tight karts, loose karts, newbies, vetrans, confusion, yadayadayada….The one thing I want to bring up is the re-birth of SKUSA Regional racing. It was great to see Joe and Todd from the Mother Ship in Indy come out to the track and support the CSC efforts. The Utah and California karters I talked with were impressed with the turn-out and competition. I feel this level of racing is everything you would get after a long road trip to another state just to attempt to make the field. Regional racing is on the way back to becoming what karting is all about. Grass roots, motor heads, great kids, families and just plain clean fun.
We Colorado karters have the best of all worlds with “The Nations Cup” being held in GJ this fall!! With one more race in GJ over the long weekend we should be able to develop many front runners for the big show this fall. Personally, I welcome this level of racing without rolling out on the $2.50+ per gallon highway. SKUSA is committed to bringing regional racing back to what it was when we were having fun. We had fun this weekend and it was great just to get back in the saddle after a long winter.
Matt ran his first PRO ICC race and had a blast. It was a great weekend to be his dad
Chaz, please try to come out to Bandi on May 8th. I will have some adult beverages with your name on them, and we would love to see you.

ParticipantWhat about moving into another class and running last years CSC plate?
Curt Kistler
ParticipantOK, I surrender. Which is the correct answer?
Track Owner. or
SuperTech Dude??????Or, am I the only one scratching my head here?
I do know that Big T will not be there, so hopefully the fuel testing, distribution, mixing, storage… will all go well and not eat away at precious track time.

ParticipantDoug,
I’ll lift yours, if you lift mine :liao:
I don’t know what else to feed the kid, but we have 55#’s hanging on it.See you in GJ, and bring the Ben Gay!!!

ParticipantEasy Greg. As a friend of Kurt, and a Colorado Karter, I will always have a dog when it comes to supporting the CSC. Don’t compare anything that happened last year to this year. The CSC is taking major steps to make things better as they see fit. Yes, someone always get’s hurt and not everyone is going to be happy with the decision making process. Making changes is something all clubs, business, government and just about every other entity needs to do to survive. Hell, even Freezman is going to shift gears this seson I understand.
Sounds to me like Kurt is trying to fit into something affordable so he can participate in the CSC. I personally want to see all of you come back and race. Don’t let your energy go south, get together with your peers and find a way to race the CSC.
I’ll bet after you do the math on all the other stuff the $125.00 looks like a bargin.Curt Kistler
ParticipantDon’t get disgruntled Kurt. The nothing you will get for the CSC membership is a rule book, race director, tech director, insurance, IMI, Bandi, GJ, and Steamboat, 150+ racers, 100+ spectators watching you, road trips with the family, Angie in the scoring booth, an anouncer with a real PA system…
Should I go on?Curt Kistler
ParticipantWhat was the final decision for wieght in the S1 PRO ICC class? Is there any difference in weight for the moto motors?
Thanks, and welcome abord - AuthorPosts
