I love the fact that Aurora is +- $9M annually upside down to pay their own bills, and decided against the last track attempt 3 years ago. Just one NASCAR race would have generated +$20M to their bottom line.
    HOW DOES THAT TASTE AURORA?

I will almost bet that those protesters in Commerce City think their new soccer stadium will pay for all of their future overhead also.

Those race tracks are noisy and attract bad people………

Ever go to a real soccer game? Don’t you know there is a airport out there?

As far as rumors go, there is a real effort going on right now to purchase Pikes Peak Raceway for private race fans only. If you are interested in finding out more information, give me a PM and I will put you in contact with the man. This is not a prancing stallion BTW.

You can find all that information in last years rule book posted in the CSC section on this web site.
Glad to see you are inquiring about this. It is very important that everyone who races in the CSC abide to this rule especially with various classes on track at the same time.

    What Gives! :idn:

    For us what gave was:
We do not do TAG, no equipment.
Still too early to tug a trailer over two passes.
Dispairity in driver sizes and weights. We had opportunities to join a team, but with Matts light weight frame his partner would have been out there at +420 lbs. (Safety first guys. We love our kids.)

    Suggestions:
Add a stock moto class. (We won’t cause toooooooo much havoc.)
    Move it to mid March.
Allow each team member to drive their own equipment. Everyone must make their own weight. Would also allow for the opportunity for more karts on the lead lap, increase safety, ease up on the abuse of equipment …..

We will be there to watch, but would love for the opportunity to participate.

Good luck with your decision Brian. It will alll work out whatever it is.

The 2007 CSC Rules have not been posted as far as I know. We only ran the FZ last year, or at least that was all the local tracks and shops were stocking.

The difference is in the shape of the tire. The MZ are square in appearance and the FZ are more rounded on top. The FZ was a better tire to tune with, and wore a lot better than the MZ.

The MZ looks like a rental kart tire, but with softer compound.

    Hope this answers your question.

Roger Bonham is not racing this year. He and Matt always ran the same times as pro’s, as does Jake and Matt. It’s going to be the same talent level as last year, hopefully with more karts to race against.

I do not think we need to start splitting up classes.

Hey Richie, Someone had to take the picture. 😕 They were still down there from the original production, in the pool partying like rock stars.

I will send you more pictures next week from Belize

David and David. Glad to hear you guys had a good time and are continueing to learn how to compete at a high level. Take the recovery time slow and serious. Matt busted up his ribs back in the 60 shifter days and I thought he was OK. Guess what happened next……
It a slow frustrating process, but good therapy and time can heal anything.

    Mike,
I am in Fiji this week. Sorry to hear about your crappy weather again. Please enjoy these shots of my day. Good night now, I need my rest for another big day tomorrow.

Sorry you track owners have to go thru this. This winter must absoulty suck for ya. 👿

Anyone interested in opening a new state-of-the-art indoor karting facility? The new electronic Sodi Karts look very cool, and Lord knows, there are an awful lot of empty bix boxes around town. Interested parties should PM me, I have info…….

Thanks for the heads up Jim. You were right, The Track was dry, clear and fast! I thought we would be fighting for a parking spot on Saturday with the weather being in the 50’s & :sun: , But as it turned out, there were only 5 other karters out all day!

What the heck folks? You sure missed out on some great seat time.

This is not a ploy to get folks out to The Track. Jim does his own marketing. Just wondering what is going on with the die hards???????

We did get to meet some new faces and that is always a treat.
    Thanks,
    Curt

    Great post Rick.
This format is something that would increase the field for the GJ 3 hour enduro. The thought of having one chassis and one motor getting wound up for three hours just sounds expensive, and risky at the start of a new season.
Just think, Roman and Matt could compete on the same team with their own set-up. (Their weight, chassis set-up, gearing…)

Matt standing at the fence in the hot pit, Roman comes flying in, shuts down, gets out, tags Matt, Matt runs to his kart, get’s in, starts up and flys out for his session/tank of fuel. Now we can tweak Romans stuff, oil and adjust the chain, fuel her up and get ready for Matt to come flying in for his tag on Roman.

I like it. This format would be good for a shifter enduro also. This format will keep more karts on track and should allow for some close racing over a 3 hour tour.
A 3 hour tour? Matt kind of looks like Gilligan. :loony:

What do you say Brian? Want to double your entries?

Just rolled out of bed and looked out my window. Looks like another bad day here in Cancun. 85 and breezey! Oh well, I will just need to keep the ball down a little lower to keep it on the fairway. Hopefully my sunburn will not peel too bad. I will be thinking of all you penguins!
