It was decided at the meeting to go with TAGUSA/SKUSA weights for Senior + 20lbs. SKUSA may change the weights to make adjustments the first few races and our weights will change with them.

I was not the one who made the rules, I did not even vote, it was the majority of the 150 or so that were at the meeting, not the four or five who are posting on this forum. How am I ignoring the racers if I am only supporting what was decided by the majority You are the one trying to force issues that were decided on by more people than are even members of this web site. I have always let the majority rule and it has nothing to do with me or my personal opinion.

I will remind you all that this forum is not for determining the rules, you can make all of the suggestions you want . If you want to make up your own rules Stacey then get out of the CSC series and do your own races. The purpose of the series was for all of the tracks to be under the same set of rules. It was decided at the meeting to run the same tire rules as last year and that was a tire with the same durometer as a YHC /58 for ALL classes except for pro 125. This does not include YHB’s or MG yellow tires period! YHB tires were not allowed in the Viagra class last year and the only reason anyone allowed the MG’s is because JB said they were the same durometer as a YHC which was incorrect. Go to the MG web site and see for yourself. The weights and the tire rules were determined at the meeting and will remain that way until the meeting next year. If you allow MG yellows and YHB’s for any class other than pro than you are not going by what was voted on at the meeting. We will not have the rules different at each track, if that is the case then what is the purpose of having the series anyway?

I will make this clear one more time. Everything in Jr 1 & 2 is the same as last year with the exception of Flatheads get billet rod, the Animal gets to change jets (gas), Comer is 20lbs less. These changes were made at the meeting not on this forum! We ran the stock cam last year with the jet the engine came with and stock timing.

I only see four racers opinions on this post 3 to 1 ,hardly a forum to make any decision from. If you want to poll everyone on this fine with me. There were over 140 racers at the meeting on a bad weather night. If you did not get contacted I am sorry, Michelle had lost my registration forms and the mail list on her computer she says. I had Bobby call everyone that we had a number for from our old list. It seems a majority of racers were contacted or heard about the meeting because we have never had that many to a meeting.

I can’t see having another meeting for two or three issues that we can resolve with communication.

#1 All track owners are to have the same rules and classes for the CSC series. What they do on their own series is up to them.

#2 Since most of the Comer 80’s have the pipes they can keep them. We just lowered the weight for them 20 lbs and should wait and see how they compete. If it proves out of balance with the other engines then the weight will be adjusted.

#3 We did not allow the timing to be adjusted last year and to keep parity between the other engines we will leave it with the stock key.

#4 I would have to ask how old your son is? Kid Karts are 5-7 yrs Jr1 8-11 yrs.

I guess I am a little confused with your comments. The purpose of the meeting was to determine the rules for the year. The tire rules were discussed at the meeting. We have not changed anything from what was determined at the meeting. The racers voted on having the same tire rules as last year. That was a tire with a hardness the same as a YHC for all classes except for the Pro class which was a tire the same hardness as a YHB. I could care less what tires we use, I sell them all. I have always let the customers decide what they what, why do you think we have this meeting every year? If all of you want to change the rules then change them. I only counted the votes and did not vote myself so don’t blame me for anything you do not like!

What makes this class different than the others that they should run a softer tire? I just don’t get it. Did Grame buy 20 cases of MG yellows?

You all seem to forget that we are running flatheads, Comers and Animals together. We decided at the meeting to allow the Animal to be able to change jets (unlike last year) run the stock broached cam (like last year), allow the flathead to run a billet rod (unlike last year) and to drop 20lbs on the Comer (unlike last year) to make the engine combinations more compatible. I wish everyone at the meeting were listening when this was discussed. You cannot compare every rule in WKA and apply it to our club when we combine engines and make our own decisions to run our format. Combing the engines was done to reduce the # of classes. This was all discussed at the meeting and should be no surprise to anyone except those who were not there, or those who had to much beer and pizza. Was I the only one at the meeting? Quit listening to rumors about what was said and what was not said. If you want to change the rules then come to the meeting we have every year, which is what it is for. I am sick of everyone accusing me and the other track owners of some sort of conspiracy. Fleming, come to the meeting next year and you can cry all you want about anything you want.

Our tire rules were determined by the hardness as compared to a YHC. That was the base line. What you are asking for is a open tire rule if MG yellows are allowed with the rest. It was never my intention to do anything other than make it fair. MG Yellows, YHB’s and DAM Dunlops are a 50 durometer. YHC, Maxis Hg3, DAH Dunlop are a 58. What is your problem if everyone can run on the same hardness of tires?

I am not a lobbist, I had nothing to do with the determination of the weights. I was there to install the engine and to guide them with tuning the engine. I asked Marty how he was going to determine the weights and his answer to me was he was going to look at the data and make his best guess and see what happens at the first race. Do you think that is the best way to do it? I don’t think so. The only testing done in Seattle was on a chassis dyno. The testing done in OK involved both a track test and a chassis dyno. The testing done in OK was last year and not all of the engines were represented. I was not there for the test but I did see the results. The time frame that Marty had to work with did not let him track test any of the engines. I will tell you that there will be adjustments made as the season progresses.

I did not see you in Seattle when the engines were tested. I was there and I was only making my comments based on the results I viewed. If they posted the results for everyone to see you may have a different opinion. I would not “stack the deck” in favor of the engine I sell. If the Biland won every race then I would expect the weights to be adjusted, just as I would for any engine. We have had one season to see the results on the track and our weights from last year were close. I think that the weights SKUSA and TAGUSA are starting with do not match the results of the testing. In my conversations with Marty Casey of SKUSA he has assured me that adustments will be made at each promoto if necessary. The TAG class must keep the competition as close as possible to survive, it makes no sense to let one engine dominate. I just think that SKUSA could have started with weights that are closer to reality but I am satisfied that they will not wait half the season to make adjustments.

I find it hard to believe that we are talking about tires when this was decided at the meeting. I do not see how anyone will save money on MG tires when they only last one race day. YHC tires last for two race days. MG tires have increased in price to $167 retail. If you buy BS for $165 and they are good for two races then it costs you $82.5 per race. If you pay $155 for MG’s and they are good for one race then it costs $155 per race. How are you saving anyone, other than the racers who put on a new set every week anyway, money?
