On gas you only need one jet and use the needle to adjust the mixture. If it is too rich or lean it will not come up to temp. Or if it is missing, bogging, cutting out there are other things to look at. The spark plug, the diaphragm, the fuel holes behind the jet for blockage, an air leak between the carb and tank, an air leak from the end cap of the carb.

Hard to start is usually the valve clearance on a Briggs.

Never been there, I know it is a short track. You have a tachometer so keep the rpm below 5700 on the longest straight for a flathead Briggs. I would guess about 4.5 to one to start.

3.2-4.2 to 1 depending on what total weight and track you are running on.

We are all sorry for your loss Marty. I did not know that your mother was in ill health. I hope that you are available in the future as you have been an asset to our series. God bless.

The race date for the Grand Junction Race is 17th 18th & 19th not the 25th and 26th.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

We have a Comer 80 jr1 class gearing depends on the engine but 78-82 should be close. We go by IKF rules for that class.
